I took this picture in April 2011 a month after I got my D90 using a 55-300 lens. We were fishing when one heron caught the fish then the one in the picture stole it from the other. Some times you win sometimes you loose, natures survival of the fittest, and bullies.

That is a beautiful shot, is that a snow owl?
The license plate (as seen in download) says it all, nice quick pic.
The deer know when to come out eat, looks like I need to get a lens to shoot the D90 later in the evening. Shooting from inside the house with a closed window dosen't help i'm sure, any recomendations?
Northern MN Christmas silent night
I was playing around with light reflections on the pond last summer, this is one of the better ones. Please let me know what you think.

where are you mom
Deer like the free lunch, wish we didn't need the fence but they would eat the flowers in the summer if we didn't have it. Also it keeps the dog free to run as the city has the leash rules.
at 20 yards, very cautious, them not me
hard time focusing manualy at night-any ideas

More deer in the swamp area Sunday after Christmas, I went for a stroll in the woods and managed to get a few more shots.
Hello, I am new to the post but have enjoyed the comments and ideas that have been shared on UHH for a few months now. This is a wonderful way to share photo's and ideas and this is educational for me as I am new to digital DSLR within the last year. I am trying to make this hobby more fun with the comments and recommendations given on this site.
Here is one pic taken 12-05-12 before the real winter set into MN. I would like to hear from anyone about comments about what could have improved this shot. I was shooting D90 w/18-200vrll, f5.6,1/20 iso400 as it was about 45 min from sundown. I did PP in Lightroom3 to adjust exposure and fill light.
