I enjoyed viewing the series!
Well captured, too.
In the last image showing the first order lens, did it rotate?
Did anyone mention why the top part of the lens doesn't line up with the rest of the lens?
The light shining on the wall really shows how much it is off.
Thanks!
Pat
Thanks Pat, not sure why that would be. I can tell you that that is the original lamp and it is 16 foot tall.

No longer sitting on the sidelines. I clicked on a Nikon Df. Need advice on what first lens to add. I currently have D5300 with 16-80 f2.8-f4 and 55-300 f3.5 - f5.6 both DX lenses. Interests include: people, family, wildlife, scenery, travel. I hope to be able to get better images in low light and when cropping is called for, hence the FF. I appreciate you all and look forward to your help. Thank you.
people- 50MM, family- use your d5300, wildlife-300mmPF w/ 1.4TC, scenery- 24MM, travel- 28-300mm
1/250 sec, the third pic- 1/1000 sec and the last pic- 1/500 sec Sounds like you had bracketing for three shots turned on.
Tamrac backpacks are fantastic.

My photography club has a fairly attractive website that was designed and build by a technologically sophisticated member 10-15 years ago. Unfortunately, only the designer knows the structure well enough to make upgrades and he is stretched for time. Is anyone familiar with commercially available website models or templates that fit a photo club and easily managed by non-tech people. I use Zenfolio for my personal site and that works well for my needs but we need a club oriented platform.
We had the same problem with our clubs site and moved to Meetup, It is working well!
Some sample sites.

I am a beginner at photograhy. I am photographing art work for giclee reproduction and the initial photographs are a little dull. I am using a cannon T5i camera with a canon 200mm, 35-80mm, 1.4-5.6 shooting subject in raw and jpeg. I am using reflective/umbrella 5000K lights at 45 degree angle. Much of the dullness can be photoshopped out. Any suggestions on how to improve the initial photographs.
Turn of the lights and use a tripod. ISO 100, F5.6- F8, self timer. If you need straightening use Photoshop and if you need help with that you can send the photo to me.
[quote=tinplater]I just bought, on Ebayquote
I love eBay for this reason, being lucky enough to afford a small loss I use eBay as my rental outlet. Every piece of equipment I own can be sold there, for something, eventually. I also bought and sold film cameras to make money for a few years. This allowed me to try some nice stuff and make money. Back in 1998-1999 I was able to flip about 60-70 rangefinder cameras for some spare cash. From about 2012 to 2015 it was amazing how many quality Nikon film cameras and lens were being given away. I made about 4000.00 over few years and got to play with some great Nikon and Leica equipment. (FM3A, FM2N, F3, 35TI, Leica CL) With eBay's policies and my knack for reading between the lines I have never been burned. I now have 1132 feedbacks. I don't buy anything without at least looking on eBay first.
PS my golf cost about $60 a week but I put the clubs away on Thanksgiving and don't take them out until Easter.
Loving the close-up ability and DOF possibilities this lens has to offer. Straight out of camera, no PP, just crop. f/13
