A feast for the eyes. Rich colors, lots of interesting details (including the reflection of you in the bar top!), great use of light and shadows. Love this, Dave!

Thanks Linda. I appreciate your observation, especially with the reflection. It was so subtle and I wasn't quite sure if I had placed it in the correct location.

A dear friend of many years sent me a Christmas card several years ago... Using Lunapic online free modification under ART I generated this photo that hides her identity and for the "sensitive people" makes it an art.

As long as Hal-9000 allows me to be in control I like AI, but now as Arthur C. Clarke's warned in 1951 of Hal AI taking over control to do what it thinks best... too much of the Digital Artistry is becoming a standard that has little to do with the so called "authors creativity."

Do you fear that AI is taking over...???

Excellent processing. Love this image and I'm curious to know why haven't we seen more of this style from you Don, is this the beginning?

I don't necessarily fear AI taking over, I just don't totally agree with it but maybe I will get there someday ... not just yet.

Lots of water in this one. I started with a photo I took of Lake Tink Wig (a lake in the community of Tink Wig in Hawley Pennsylvania). Gave it lots of motion and sway, included some of the land around it, and added texture on top. Then I added the shapes, like the two "eyes", and the multi colored hair. Anyway, that is what I "saw". If anyone is interested in how I create the colorful base, please let me know. I can show you.

I'm agree with Linda, would like to see a tutorial (if possible) to get a better understanding of your creation.

All the images are mine except for boy. I thought I would post something lighthearted after my last two post. No real heavy lifting with this composite. About 15 layers of which several are texture layers.

Excellent composite Frank. The theme fits perfectly, altho I am curious to the sky. Did you flip the sky to a vertical position? It is different/unique because of the direction of the clouds. I like what you have done with the overall concept.

Sorry, I didn't see Dave's post about the clouds until after I had made comments.

Okay, maybe it's not weed related, but I felt that the overall scene fit the title. This is a simple composite starting with the background of two layers from 'Wild Bill Bar' in Deadwood, South Dakota 2017. There's two layers of myself, sons being goofy while wearing goofy looking eyeglasses while my daughter-in- law observes the comical toast in Texas 2023. I've added a youtube video of Toby Keith performing the titled song with Willie.

A simple composite of two images taken in a disused prison. Your critique is welcome.

You have done well with this composite Dave. On a personal note, you know I like dramatic images but depressing ones is another thing and I'm guilty as well. I tried to put myself in his situation in order to appreciate what you have here more but only to know it's not reality for me or the subject, so we're all good here. His expression of sadness shows to the extreme while I suspect the woman in the background could very well be a visitor and simply completes the scene.

B&W and of course the change of background, rid the photo of the confusing intro of color. Good change in the photo... the message is simplified and that condensing of information tells a better story.

Color is a confusion that primitive man did not need to see danger in a scene, being distracted by the glint of a bright colored object, orange or berry, made him food for a predictor.

Thank you Don, much appreciated.

Glad you changed out the background. I think it takes away from the star of the show. Have you considered keeping it in color with the new background?

Thanks Frank. I have to agree. I have not considered color but maybe I should. Have to think about that one.

Oh that's great, Dave! The oversize hat is absolutely adorable, as is your grandson.

Thanks so much for adding your textures to the library. I was admiring the brick wall and its possibilities yesterday.

Thanks Linda. Glad you like the oversize hat and grandson. Kids can be enjoyable and have a tendency to say just what's on their mind. I wanted to give an example of how I use the brick wall but I'm sure it could be used as a grunge layer of some sort.

A B&W conversion with a changed background of my 5 year old grandson wearing my newly bought hat. The brick background is one I shared/posted in Linda's Texture, Sky and Background Library https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-630884-1.html

Very nice and moody Dave! Being a witch, should we hope she finds Toto or hope she doesn't???

Thank you !!! I love moody, dramatic images. I'm not sure but I don't think Toto would mind. it's all a mystery and maybe if I happen to find Toto myself, I could create an update version?
