Hey. Maybe even smarter and a better genius than his uncle. Bet he even understands quantum physics too. Lol

Think! Absolutely, this is political bulls*** to foster socialism. That is the method used to promote dependency on the government, with the intent of a dominant World Government where no one has autonomy. The Constitution of our Republic is being literally torn to shreds.

There is no help or cure for a believer in conspiracy theory as that quoted above. That would mean the entire Covid19 is some manufactured hoax to allow the government to lock us all down and guide us into socialism. Think of the vastness of this proposed "conspiracy" and the massive number of people "in on the game" that would require.

How many steps from this above statement to Vaccines are poison. Bill Gates is trying to force us into them to directly chip us all and then activate it by the 5G system? QAnon is the next step down?

I am no fan of Trump. Far from it. But he is not a Socialist trying to force a World Government on us.

Not actually true DocDav. These predictions were made based on false or incorrect or inaccurate assumptions as well as very limited data sets. These predictions went only one way - absolute worse case scenario.

Using the same methods for the upcoming hurricane season (science-predicted higher than average hurricanes), coupled with COVID-19 precautions, we should be evacuating all coastal areas of the US now. We cannot wait until a hurricane is actually threatening our coast because evacuations will take to long. We don't have enough shelters as it is, yet to include social distancing requirements and separation of the more vulnerable folks from the rest in the shelters. We don't have all the necessary supplies (food, drink, bedding, medical, social, computers, internet, cell phone coverage, etc.) to care for the shelterees. If we wait to evacuate, hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, will DIE!!!

Now everyone will say that prediction is stupid. And it is. But it is based on science using past data, current resources, and assumptions, so it must be true, right. True, just like the COVID-19 predictions are true too.

I will meet you half way on your argument Daryl. I still feel the scientists are more right then wrong on this one and will disagree on your Florida hurricane analogy as well. I feel strongly that an illness with this degree of contagion and lethality is vastly different. But at least we can disagree without name calling. I just strongly believe that with rights there comes that other pesky R word. Responsibility. One without the other is selfish in my opinion. In any case if you come see me as a patient you are in my territory and will wear mask or be shown the door.

The predictions were not wrong avtually. They were altered by our changed behavior. Sort of like the parachute has slowed my decent so I can cut it loose now.

Watching a few moments of the video so I can get a feel for this doctor: Untrained in what she is talking about. Nonsense. poor logic. poor medicine. poor advice. Basically she is a quack and preaching out of her depth. The fallacies are just nuts. Along with rights, there come responsibilities. You are free to believe what you wish. and yes, we are all tired of keeping our distance and wearing a mask. The biggest fallacy in her rant is that there is another side. There is science. There is non-science. That is not worthy of debate.

In general, we don't much advise gloves. In the office, or in surgery, I don a pair in the appropriate manner, treat the patient ( notice I said patient, not patients) and remove the gloves and dispose of them then wash or sanitize. That is the appropriate use of gloves. Wearing them in the grocery store is silly, but if it gives someone peace of mind, I don't mind. I would rather people learn to wear a mask properly and ditch the one way exhalation valve masks ( useless to protect those around you). We cannot live in a bubble folks. We can only try to do what is reasonable. At the store, have your hand sanitizer up capped or ready. Enter your car. Sanitize. If you feel better, later go back with a sanitizer wipe and do the car door. Shoes. Yes. shoes carry germs, dog shit if your unlucky, and virus. We don't currently feel it is important to spray your shoes as, with rare exception ( no names) you or your loved ones don't lick them or the floor. However, if you want, spray lysol if you can find any, or yes, bleach. about 1/3 cup to a gallon of water in a spray bottle will work. Make sure you are using bleach with sodium hypochlorite vs some of the newer "green products. You cannot be 100% or go nuts over it. We in practice have already seen an increase in anxiety and so on and total fear of going out again for anything. Think of the stories of long term prisoners released back into the world and feeling lost and anxious. Do what is reasonable. Best you can do and the best advise I can offer.

Best response - brief and to the point.

If I may add, if unable to wash hands with soap and water for 20 secs (best), use hand sanitizer, instead. Stores such as Costco, Walmart, and other grocery stores have hand sanitizer dispensers or wipes available at the door for customers use. Better yet, bring a small pocket size (or fits in average size purse) hand sanitizer with you for ready use.

While we're at the issue of how to avoid contracting COVID, here's a helpful link as to the wearing of face mask: "How NOT to Wear a Mask"

I have patients wear a mask when in the office for an appointment. The number wearing them wrong is amazing. The "new" think in masks, which I make them trade in office for something better, is a mask with a one way exit valve so breathing is easier. Gee, protects me and my staff from your exhalations NOT. The rationale is correct. Gloves are for establishing a sterile field and maintaining it. Once you touch outside of that field they are no longer sterile. Disposable gloves are very useful for touching high traffic items such as gas pump nozzles and then disposing immediately after use. Remember gloves also fill up landfills. Best to use hand sanitizer between errands and soap and water works best.

Yes. Gloves are incorrectly used. For example I see people constantly wearing gloves and scratching their face, rubbing their eyes, and probably picking their nose. So what good have they done. If you want, don them prior to entering the store. Don't touch anything you don't have to. get what you want and then discard them properly before opening your car door. Better yet...soap and water or hand sanitizer.

Used to be we guys knew the hot spots by the discarded condoms on the ground. Now it's gloves. People are disgusting at times.
