So, you are saying even I can take a decent shot in Venice?!?!? Can't argue that! Thanks, very much!

Too many chances for photo ops!

You can’t go wrong in Venice. Great shots.

Eye candy indeed Ed. Nicely done, as always.

While Georgia probably has a more famous Stone Mountain, the one in North Caroliais is pretty impressive in itself.

Great image. The sky treatment makes it look like the Northern Lights. Well done!

Was up at Conowingo Dam this last week. It was chilly! Saw maybe a couple of Eagles with their catch high in the sky, but only 1 immature Eagle that flew in and landed 30-40 feet away from our spot. He was nice enough to pose for a few shots before we left....

Nice set Dan. I love the work with the sky in the various shots.

I have been exploring the Bisti this fall. Since I live a couple hours away, it's not too far to go. If you go, figure out how much water you need, and double it. Do Not go very far in without a GPS!

Oh boy. Dramatic set. I love it

Wow, some colors. Did you enhance them in post?

A little northwest of Portland Oregon is Sauvie Island, a place I love to return to when I visit the Pacific Northwest. I look forward to seeing these pretty recycled old pickup trucks. This year, because of the lack of rainfall this summer, the flowers weren't as robust. Still I enjoyed driving by them.

Interesting location Katy. Thanks for sharing.

"Went bankrupt" ..........Looks like the "t" was left out, but that picture tells thousands of words....

Thanks for your input. The missing “t” is sort of the whole joke!

Thanks to all of you for your wise and thoughtful comments. I agree with the majority that “Went Bankrup” is the strongest image to round out my portfolio. I’m going to go with that. The full portfolio isn’t due until December 12, so if I have some photo ops before that I might change my mind, but for now this is my decision.

I like the bikes as a graphic, but the jars as a soft color palette. I guess your choice will be what your portfolio needs, to show all your diversity. Good luck. Bev

All except the bicycles were shot during an all-day shoot along old Route 66 in the Victorville and Barstow areas. I wanted to include one of them to add diversity to my portfolio. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

Agree on comment on jars: a tighter crop. In a shot like this the revel is in the details. In the jars, in the wood grain.

I suppose a tighter crop and a touch more saturation could improve the image?

For me, I would go with photo #1 for color. I do not see any of your photos showing "light".

No worries, the total portfolio is full of light and color. I’ll report back on my grade next month, but at mid-term it was 98.3%.
