Today I pulled out an old kit lens that I haven't used in about four years. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to auto focus. It focused fine in manual focus. I do use back button focus and all of my other lenses work fine with that. Any input will be appreciated.
Thanks Bob
A 18-55 kit lens did the same with me after being on shelf, cleaned contacts no luck. I would never do this to an expensive lens however 18-55 was a paperweight not worth repairing. Took an emery board to the lens contacts, cleaned up with alcohol, its now working. Good luck Charles
I just watched a movie on TV a couple of nights ago that I thought was outstanding. I'm not sure how new or old the movie is but the name was, "Operation Mincemeat". It tells of the greatest ruse employed in warfare and was really well done.
Operation Mincemeat there are three films; a Documentary, a 2010 film, and the 2021 film released in 2022.
How can a person shoot in Auto and/or Program, have blurred, out-of-focus, underexposed pictures call himself a professional as he resorts to Photoshop to correct a lousy photo? Shouldn't he be creating that photo in the camera?
You need to read the definition of " Art " that would be your answer!
Looking for a printer that will be used only for pics. Something that does a good job without breaking the bank either for the printer or the ink. Say <$600 or so. TYIA.
Epson Expression Photo HD XP-15000 is great, the problem would be finding one they continue to sell out quickly, especially since the pandemic started. Purchased mine from B&H after being on the B&H in stock notification.
I am still using my Tamron Gen 1 lens. Wondering if anyone in here uses the Nikon lens that is in the title bar as I am thinking of doing an upgrade. How do you like it for image quality, etc. Any pros or cons. My camera body is a Nikon D7200. Thanks, Marsha
I rented the Nikon AF-S 500mm f/5.6E PF ED VR Lens over the past week and I would suggest you do the same. While the lens is lighter than the Nikon 200- 500 that I own, the 500pf seemed very limiting to me as walking around some wetlands and being close to some wildlife. The lens preformed great, and I did like the lighter weight however will not be purchasing at this time, just didn't work for me. Probably would have enjoyed the 500pf in a more open area.
