This is one of my favorite shots of a small town in Spain. Taken in 1958 with a Leica IIIG with 50mm Summicron lens. I was working with the USAF at the time. I copied this from a Kodachrome slide

The top section of the lower wing on the Queen has dots and the Queen is a bit smaller. Top photo is the Monarch.

Thanks, that was not a macro shot. I took it with an old Minolta 80-200mm xi zoom at 200mm. If you shoot with Sony alpha cameras, you can pick up this lens for $25 or $35 on Ebay. The lens is surprisingly sharp with little C.A. All auto functions work with no adapter. The MFD is a long 5.5'.

These pretty medium sized butterflies are common to our area. This year was the exception as this one was our first one we've seen.

Yaupon berries are the fruit of the Yaupon tree. The tree is native to Texas and in it's wild state it is usually found in dense thickets and grows to about 15 to20 feet.

This flock has been dining on Yaupon berries. These berries are very astringent and makes the birds very thirsty.

I use a crude processer that has no way of eliminating hot spots. I grew up in Detroit and left when I enlisted to join the Korean War effort and never returned. I always considered Detroit to be a dreary, smoky place. By the way calling oneself "fotoartist" is a bit over the top: Capish?
