If your camera has an optical or electronic view finder, use that when you are in bright sunlight. Other options I use are an LCD screen shade designed for this purpose or a screen loupe. No, there are no glare filters that will work well, if at all. You need to block the light from the screen, not the light coming from the screen. A screen loupe turns the LCD screen into a big EVF. Just go to Bing or Google and search on camera LCD screen loupe to learn more about them.

Nice! Am all enthusiastically for it, in the name of PROGRESS !
Assuming my shooting the average of one RAW image a day on my trusty Lumix FZ200,
it would take me a little over 165 years to fill this 1 TB card.
Scary.

Thank you for explaining what the acronym means!

I apologize for spoiling the fun, but: WHAT IS ACR ?
Wouldn't it be nice to have, in addition to all the wonderful features of Ugly Hedgehog,
to have an acronyms dictionary, just for "ambitious amateurs" like myself,
who are often puzzled by the vernacular of the pros?
(Rather basic questions show up here often, so must be permitted.)

Not sure you will get a blanket debate between mirrorless and dslr. You WILL get a debate on silent shutter, AF speed, blackouts, EVFs vs OVFs and the pros and cons in various shooting situations with various camera bodies.

...and the comment about hitting the sensor is also up for debate. The sensor type and size impacts tone and noise so the debate does not stop there.

Thanx for a thoughtful and educational answer. But, what is the meaning of front and back in "front or back focus problems"? As an "ambitious amateur" i am often lost in professional jargon.

Seems that electricity and batteries to run the electric car are produced without any air pollution whatsoever?
