I may have the chance to visit the Conowingo dam this summer. My question is, Will there be plenty of eagles during a visit in mid July? or are the winter months a better time to visit? Is morning or afternoon a better time to visit?......I look forward to your advice.

They say that November thru February is the best time. I went on 29 Nov and there were plenty hunting for fish. Got a few good shots. Weather was terrible. You need to find out what times they open the dam a little and that will be the best time to be there. The eagles dive for fish steal fish from one another, adult eagles as well as young ones. Once the water stopped running from the dam, the eagles flew else where. We got there around 7am and stayed till around 11 am. Well worth the trip...But make sure you get information from their website. They list what times they will run the water..

For sale. $850 includes shipping to continental US. Excellent condition. It has been used only a handful of times since purchased about 1 year ago from Adorama Most of my photography involves hiking/bushwacking and I have discovered hauling along this lens and a tripod is more than I want to handle. Please PM me if interested. I am adding several pictures.

Magestic photos, the last two are my faves. I like the electrical wires in the background. It adds to the story of this animal's existance or co-existance with humans.

Went on Sunday 29 Nov. Weather has terrible, but we went anyway cause my friends had rented some lenses just for this. This was my first time shooting birds in flight. Got a few shots but want to go back in better weather.

I am looking for a 'decent, basic, reasonably powered' Flash Unit for my A6000. I do not plan to do weddings, large group indoor shots, or light up a concert at the Madison Square Graden in NY. I do plan to use it in a few situations like: fill-in flash outdoors, short distance indoor family photos, creating the twinkle of light in my grandchildren's eyes, etc. I guess my 'only' conditions are that it a) syncs easily with the A6000, b) uses recharge batteries and c) has some tilt capability. I am not sure if I will need to fire off-camera/off-shoe as a remote flash.

What is your budget??? Phottix makes one specifically for the A6000. Not addition adapter required.. Ck B&H for price..

By chance I went into the Windows 10 Microsoft Store and found specials for ten cents .10 cents.

One special was a photo manipulation program called KVADPhoto +Pro which I bought.

It is an excellent program. Here is what I did with it on a picture I took of our Vespa cycle.

When using there are hundreds of free options to download.

I have no need for the latest version of Paintshop. The only reason I bought it was for the Authentec Perfectly Clear. But thanks for your input.

I have Paintshop Pro X6. I purchased it because it included Authentec Perfectly Clear. I asked Paintshop for instructions to batch process PC. Their instructions for creating a script don't work because when I reach the point to select from available editing choices Perfectly Clear is not an option. I emailed them a while ago for instructions which did work once. When I attempted it last week I had the original problem of not having PC as a script choice. I emailed them again & they told me they no longer support X6. Any help from Hogs????? Thanks!

Not sure if this is the correct section to post this on, but have any of you heard of this company and what is your opinion about purchasing a camera with them?

If you want to be sure and not get ripped off stay with B&H and Adorama. This time of year you are going to get more folks that want to rip you off. We all want to save a buck or two, but you are not saving anything if you ripped off by a business that will not support the products they sell...Just my 2 Cents..
