Joer, You've done it again. Great image. Wonderful detail. Davidb1879.
Photolady2014: I agree with you. With some exceptions, such as animals that could not survive in their native habitats, zoos are penitentiaries for animals. On another note, your wolf image is beyond great. What camera and lens did you use? Also exif data. I realize that the most important component-your talent- cannot be replicated.Davidb1879

Bozsik: Terrific. Which camera and lens did you use? Davidb1879.
Re: MFFOX (wild flower): Lovely. May I ask which camera and lens. Warm regards. Stay healthy. Davidb1879.
Re: Miami 39: (Wants small, light camera.) Many of the cameras discussed above seem to have excellent qualities, except for one problem. Their focal length is too short. I prefer the panasonic lumix FZ300. It has the 35mm equivalent of 24-600mm. IT has a constant 2.8 aperture throughout the entire lens. Its image quality is good. It has macro as well as raw. It's true that it will not fit in your pocket, But it only weighs a little over a pound. Just sling it over your shoulder or hold it by the camera case handle. Well, let us know when you finally decide. In the meanwhile, stay healthy. Davidb1879

Re: Silverrails: I am far from being an expert on sensors and pixels. But I do know this: Among the relevant factors are sensor size, the quality of the sensor, the size of the pixels, and the amount of space between pixels. Like you I now have a Nikon d3300 with a 24 MP sensor. I am very pleased with it. But for years, I used a 6 MP Nikon D40 with an 18-55 VR lens and a 55-200 lens. Sometimes I got good results. When I didn't, it was usually my fault, not the camera's. I also used an Olympus E30 with a 12 MP 4/3 sensor and and a 50 -200mm SWD lens and was sometimes pleased with the results. one thing I do believe: it's not just the sensor, it's also the lens. My approach to camera selection is to use it and see how you like the results. It's also very easy to google images made by a camera with a certain lens. Don't fret about being 70. I am 82 and still love photography, cameras and lenses. Have fun! Davidb1879.
