My new lens is a Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO, it is made for the crop sensor camera's, so I bought it for my Fujiflim X-T3, that makes it 97.5 mm on my Fuji. The lens is much smaller and lighter than my old Tamron 90mm macro, that made it nice to hand hold.

so this was my experience with the new lens I thought I would tell you how it went.

Day 1, I Would go out and shoot about 10 pictures and come in to download them to see what they look like, I did this about 10 times, each time not much liking what I saw, just not getting it down.

Day 2, I thinking I'm not sure about this lens, success rate was not good, Was it me or the lens? maybe 3 out of 30
were good pictures, most were out of focus.

Day3, I slowed way down, I paid attrition to what the hell I was doing, success rate came up to about 50%, some of the pictures were nice but not outstanding, now I'm thinking maybe, Just Maybe it not so bad after all, but still not much liking it. Just was not happy.

Day 4 Change the profile in my Fuji, put it back on normal shooting, change the WB to auto, bumped up the focus
peaking and change the color to yellow, success rate came up again, a few pictures were really nice, Now I'm thinking I've got to give this lens a chance.

Day 5, Didn't change much, but took out some warm in the white balance out to a little on the cooler side, for some reason the lens became much easier to handle on this day, my confidence in the lens has came up, success rate was way up,
some of the images were really good, so good I wouldn't mind posting some of them.

Day 6, No changes, I've decided this lens is a keeper, IQ is NOT as good as say a Sony $2,000 G Master lens, but really good and I'm proud of it, success rate is now way, way up, some of the images are outstanding really proud of them.

Day 7, This lens is a keeper, not for sale, I'm now loving this lens, I'm loving the way it's rendering the BG, colors
are nice, what I like the most is dam you can get close, Lens not coming off my camera anytime soon, At this stage
I'm controlling it and it's not controlling me, Macro is now a all new adventure for me.

I will recommend this lens, just remember it's all manual focus, take some getting used to, I recommend shoot at
f/5.6 to f/8 at first then to f/4 to f/2.8

so here some shots with this lens, hope you enjoy the downloads, I'm having a blast.

Johnny
