We were there last year. I don't remember seeing closure gates other than the garden at the Alamo. You can get at the front only of the Alamo. The others I thought you could get on the grounds. Don't remember any gate closures but I wasn't looking for them. Due to the size of the buildings, I used a lot of panorama shots. They are posted on my website http://www.photosbyswede.com. Also there are pictures of the Riverwalk. Have a good trip!
