I truly believe the horse is one of the most beautiful animals on earth--great shots.

I am not meaning to make anyone feel badly about a rainy situation, but here is what happened to me.

My son got married this past Monday. I flew out(Ontario to Nova Scotia, Canada) as the father, but also as the official photographer.

It had been raining for a few days and the prediction was for more rain, heavy at times, on the wedding day. The wedding was to be outdoors on the ocean beach.

That morning, the clouds moved out, the sun and warmth and mild breeze moved in. The wedding was perfect. That evening, long after the wedding, the rain returned.

Someone had the right connections, I guess.

p 3 two very nice rodeo shots. I like that last one too. It was probably too slow but you almost can't tell what is happening. The real saving element was that the young girl in the foreground has her face in focus. If that is your granddaughter, then you have a prized family image. Dave

here's few motion shots---I was really surprised on the second one that the camera could focus that quickly as they were running full speed ahead towards me!
The last one was kind of a mistake but I like how it turned out. I was at a granddaughters basketball game and after taking a few shots I realized I still had my warming filter on--I quess it slowed the shutter down and I ended up with this!

So there is the straight on and stop motion, really great pictures of the rodeo and I love the basketball shot. That's art! (even by accident)

All three are great shots! I just wanted to comment on # 2. You were surprised at getting it. As mentioned in another post I have been reading books by Bryan Peterson re shutter speed and understanding digital photos. When something i.e. the horses are racing towards you if you have your shutter speed at 1/250 sec or faster you will have no problem freezing the action. I sure hope I can remember that when I get in the field! LOL! Again, great shots... love #3 too! Oh and did I mention #1 is fabulous?? Have a wonderful day!
