What a lovely set of photos, can not wait for spring to arrive here in Southern Ontario

On February 17th 2019 my brother and I took and went to Amherst Island in Ontario, Canada. The day we had will be almost impossible to forget.

This shot of the Bald Eagle is not cropped in any way this is taken with my Panasonic G85 with the Olympus 75-300 ii. We were just lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time sort of how the entire day went

I actually cheated a bit I used the Panasonic fz300 for almost a year, the controls for it and the G85 are almost the exact same that was one reason I chose the G85 over the G9. More to save up for the 100-400

No I used the 75-300 ii but the bird was so skittish and quick I just could not bet him in frame out at 300 so I waited till he landed just about my head and took a quick medium burst on the g85

Just thought I would take a moment and say hello. I have taken photos for over 40 years now but never really bothering to take the time to learn what makes a great photo. Now that health issues have caused me to have more time to do nothing I have picked the camera back up over the past year and have taken the time to actually upgrade my skills. I do mostly wildlife and bird photography with some landscape shots thrown in once in a while. I appreciate all the great advice that is available on this site and hope to continue my journey.
