William: Thanks for the comments—I appreciate them. I have to confess though that I have the time to do so since I am retired. The weather here is rainy and cold and I haven’t taken a picture in weeks. Thus there is plenty of time to work with UHH. It keeps the old little grey cells working and challenged. I like your red posts today.

RiverNan: Yes my evil reach goes out and snares UHH members. I won’t post any more of the evil thing as you aren’t the only one commenting on it. I didn’t even think of that when I posted—I was so happy to get an image that appeared to have depth to it. It succeeded in that way but was not good in another. I’m honored to have you say that I have influenced you. In the process your artwork has improved so it is a success.

Janice: Thanks for the compliments.

Singing Swan: Nice picture of the dog in total control of his surroundings.

Tooth Maker: I am glad to see an explanation. I thought maybe you were moonlighting or had a hobby of old police cars.

Swede - your 1st post does it for me. Your 2nd looks like one of my old paintings!

OK p125 I put up 4 so called fish-eye shots and asked for comments, well I guess you were not that impressed with fish eye. The reason I did it was because unlike Andy scuba who has a very expensive fish eye lens, I made mine and it cost about £10.00. Yes the quality is not as good but the fun factor is, what you require is a screw on lens cap for your 50mm lens and a spy hole viewer as fitted to many front doors. Drill a hole in the middle of the lens cap and fit viewer, you may need a couple of stepping rings to stop the viewer touching the lens make sure or you may scratch your lens. Go out and have some fun the pictures will come out round but saves you making it into a globe. For £10.00 I think it's worth having a play

Simon - thanks for the tip on fish-eyes! All this talk about them makes me want to try one! Maybe I can borrow one to try....

Tooth Maker: I like your new avatar. I can’t read the star so I am not sure what you are doing with that and the red light. Thanks for all the comments. I like your description on B&W—that is one thing pictures are supposed to do is take one to times they enjoyed. I’m glad I reminded you of that and that you liked my other images also. You amaze me with the inside out post. The combination of pastels and patterns is very good.

Creative simon: Thanks for the compliment. I looked at your post—the only one I am interested in is the last one. The others don’t grab me. Tree of no substance is certainly different. To me it looks like a large goblet or I might agree with Cyan. You did it on the next post—now it doesn't resemble anything—now we really have to guess.
Now what is your comment about fish eye lenses? Do you like them or not as I am really curious?

RiverNan: I’ll go with 136 and hold you to posting later. Sure enough you were good on your word. That is a nice post. Do I need to give you instructions on framing a picture or how can I help you.

Cyan: I appreciate the compliment as well as all your comments. You did a nice job fooling around and posted a very nice set of images. The line structure really gets interesting in your last post.

Bb gun: I like your flowers on today’s post. The last one is especially beautiful.

William: You are up to speed on prose as usual—I always look forward to it. The Chevy posts are excellent. If you were only two with the 57 Chevy—you can’t believe what you missed—the golden years of car design. All the manufacturers had some kind of bullet point on the hood. Since the hoods were so long and high the driver used them as guiding points for parking etc. Also it was interesting watching the ice form on them when the temperature was just right. Your sign off for Saturday night is very appropriate.

RMM: Good question?

Xtreme66: I think if I had a classic like that I surely wouldn't drive it to work. I’d probably be afraid to drive it at all. I haven’t seen you post before, so welcome. I hope you will come again and enjoy the thread as much as the rest of us do.

Pgl: Pam, I like your departure from normal. It is a very attractive and unique image. You did a great job of catching up. I appreciate all the comments and compliments.

Swede - I like your post of the leaves (pg 127). I was always curious as to how you do that (on the top....it looks like polar from pse but it's only on the top....whereas polar from pse circles a sort-of abstract. Yours is not abstract....you can clearly see what it is. You've done a few like these before. How? Please tell me. Thanks in advance.

Hi cyan, I hadn't seen it that way, more than 7 branches but yes some resemblance

I wasn't even counting the branches---it just reminded me of it the way it was reaching up....with a big base.
And your next one is nice, too. Very dimensional.

RiverNan: It looks like you are inventing new words. I've not seen that one before, but will take it as a compliment—thanks! I see you have been over to Special Effects today—I appreciate that. Your New York post is quite nice!

Janice: That is a cute baby! Your post is very nice also. I like the color combination.

Pjreed: I can do many things but I can’t accomplish that one-thanks! You have some nice hummer pictures today.

Photo guy: Even the experts get a bad hair day once in a while. That is a nice set—first set of snow/street scenes I have seen this year. I think we are due for a strictly rainy winter.

Tooth Maker: Your post today is interesting and well done.

Swede - this img (pg 63) to me has 2 images....1 is of a wizard putting a spell on you! And my other thought is of a face with a big open screaming mouth! Both kind of scary.
