NSA or NASA?

Are you sure that you want to keep this infantile remark on this thread? There may be time to edit it out of existence.

The first time I used a new cable to snatch a firewood log it twisted, kinked and curled. It now has the perfect form to cinch onto a crater of green cheese. I will donate it to the roosians for this project in exchange for enough green cheese for a small gathering. BYOB of wine. Everyone's invited.

Since you know so little, I will give you a bit of knowledge since there is obviously much room for it in your empty brain. Digital photography made a giant leap in 1964 with the development of the Spacecraft Television Ground Data Handling System. It also was a groundbreaker in the use of bar code. The first use of the device was the production of the first images from the Ranger spacecraft. The primary use of it was producing both images and machine readable bar code from all Surveyor Moon Lander missions. I was part of the development team. I hope that you can understand what I have just provided you better than the image that you continue to ridicule. You can thank people like me for not having to buy film for your Instamatic.

Sorry streets , all I see is a crater , but would like to look closer, what are the coordinates ?

You can't get any closer without pixelation. The coordinates wouldn't be of much use since the NASA quickmap site is now unavailable.

I didn't even realize that the Mosquito was in the picture when I processed the photo.

Very cool Streets. Do you do any astrophotography???
Craig

I had a Zeiss Telementor scope for a while, but my work on the Surveyor and Apollo programs with JPL and NASA made astro-photography at the amateur level seem a bit mild.

This is an image of a 200 foot wide Lunar crater taken by the LROC. It's as clear as all similar shots seen at this resolution on the site. Some thing is in the crater in the upper left of the image that is not natural. NASA normally blurs out this type of image but somehow missed this one.

It would be nice if there were a Lunar geologist on UHH, or even someone with an open mind who might recognize something peculiar about the interior of that crater. My interest in the moon began when working on the Surveyor moon lander and Apollo programs. I am now 83 and that interest has not yet ebbed.

While not very sharp of a photo it looks to be an three in one hole of big bolders nothing else.

I'm still waiting for a perceptive reply, not roosian and green cheese crap.

This image was taken directly from my monitor last December. I had been using the NASA LROC website (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiting Camera) off and on for a couple of years. This site enabled the user to zoom in anywhere on the moon and view features with amazing resolution. To copy an image, one had to photograph the screen, as you could not simply save to your pictures in the normal way. This image is of a crater that is about 200 feet in diameter. What is in the crater is something one never sees in other similar craters. It appears to be a construct of some sort that was placed there by intelligent beings. NASA usually blacks out what it doesn't want to be seen, but they missed this one. The site that this image came from, target.lroc.asu.edu is unavailable at this time. I wonder why.

The accompanying photos are the instructions. You will need a 1/4X2X20" hardwood slat from Home Depot , Lowes, or similar. Maybe get 2 just in case you mess up the first one. You will need a lens with macro capability.
You will also need a 1/4x20 screw to attach the camera.

I normally use manual focus and F8. Set ISO to 100. Make sure that you TURN OFF anti-shake. For a light source I use my monitor with a pure white screen. Shutter speed will not be a problem as the slide and camera move as one. I always use a lens brush and/or a blower to clean each slide I copy.

The Photo is a copy of an Ektachrome taken in 1965.

Darn good guess. Hadn't thought about the Pigeon aspect. The bump on the beak does suggest that possibility. Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I wasn't talking resolution charts. I was talking about resolution at the sensor. It would take a full frame lense capable of generating a properly resolved image for a 80mp sensor to be able to be used on a 20mp 4/3rds camera for proper resolution at the sensor of the camera. And Olympus and Panasonic did not put out a statement indicating that certain lenses would not have enough resolution to be used on the new 20mp sensors. They planned for the future. I suspect that the upper end lenses are all capable of resolving an image for a sensor of 25mp or maybe even a little more. If it is capable of resolving for a 25mp sensor, it would require a full frame lense capable of resolving images for a 100mp full frame sensor. I do not believe that such a full frame lense exists. And if the 4/3rds lenses are capable of resolving better than 25mp for 4/3rds sensor, that would require a full frame lense capable of resolving beyond a 100mp sensor resolution to be able to be used for the 4/3rds sensor.

So the correct answer for the OP is to buy the sharpest lense for his format that will out shoot his sensor. Then as he replaces his camera bodies in the future with higher megapixel sensors, he will not be obsoleting his lenses. Also, using a larger format lense on a smaller format system can be done but is not advisable and could end up being very counter productive.
I'm sorry, but I wasn't talking resolution charts.... (show quote)

Most sharp lenses remain sharp. Most threads, though, get dull very quickly.

I hope someone can help me with an I.D. on this Dove. It appears to be a bit smaller than a Mourning Dove, but much darker brown. No tail feathers(molting?). It has a bump on the rear of it's upper beak. The eye ring is also strange, like a Whitewing but white instead of blue. Is it possibly a Hybrid?
