I like the idea of shadows Perilin. It's been snowing all day here so no new shadows. I decided to post my old favorite.

Awesome photos everyone. Seems as my second home has been the hospital lately. Scared the hell out of my wife, almost died from one of these damn seizures I keep getting. I flat lined for about three minutes this time. I figure I have five lives left I have spent four of them already. Died four times and came back. I told my wife.... Its because I'm too bad for hell and can't climb the gate to heaven. I got kicked out of hell for selling ice water! Anyway, I'm good and about to get out tomorrow to get some photos in.

This communicates what gives me solace on many levels. I find still, reflective water does wonders for me. Being still and reflective myself helps me calm my soul. This is a water color painting, and painting gives me joy and peace. Of course, I photographed this, and photography gives me solace. And the title, still water, is an allusion to Psalm 23, which along with many precious scriptures me peace that passes understanding. And the Good Shepherd, who leads me besides still waters, and to the sea of crystal, calls me to be still and know that He is God.
