Wow! And you are right - downloading them really shows great colors. Really nice. Thanks for sharing them.

Yes, that was pretty interesting. A pretty harsh existence, for sure.

We saw this same guy about 3 weeks ago. This is in Bolungarvik at the Osvor Maritime Museum. He was dressed as a fisherman from hundreds of years ago - can't remember how far back. Very informative about a very harsh life. Nice color in you picture.

They vary a good bit. I would say most are in the 7 - 10 foot range maybe.

Went there in 2016 and will return in September. I think you will enjoy it very much and the other-worldly shapes and formations will give you lots of opportunities for great shots using them as foreground for night shots. It really is a pretty spectacular place - lots of the formations made me think of chess pieces designed by someone who was hallucinating. Have a great trip and hope you get lots of great shots you can share with us.

If you can get to Arches, I highly recommend it. There are lots of great photo opportunities there that don't require a great deal of hiking. It might be difficult to squeeze in any of the two nearby areas of Canyonlands (Island in the Sky and Needles), but they both have lots of great photo ops too, but if you can only do one, I would recommend Arches.

I have no experience with the G1, but rented the G2 for an African safari last year and really liked it. I hated to have to return it, too.

My wife and I really enjoy seeing hummingbirds come to our feeder, but we feel kind of cheated - in the Eastern U.S. we only get the ruby throated. In the Western U.S., you get lots of additional varieties. Not fair! Thanks for sharing this nice set.

Thanks, CHG. I knew you would be one of the first responders. As always, you have given easy to understand, thorough advice, and it is much appreciated!

Long story - sorry.

Bought a new PC back in January or so and transferred LR to new PC with only minor complications. Yesterday, I got this notice from OneDrive: We noticed that you recently deleted a large number of files from your OneDrive. There were 309 files in OneDrive recycling that showed they were deleted yesterday. There were also 541 deleted 7/6 - 7/8. None of these files appear in the regular recycling bin.I did not delete these files. All files were from a folder named Lightroom Catalog - Master Previews.lrdata. In the process of trying to track down what happened, I discovered that I have two Lightroom folders: one is shown under OneDrive in Explorer, as well as under Pictures under This PC; the other LR folder is in C: Users, then in my personal folder. The LR folder under Users appears to be the one that LR uses when I open it. It has all my backups and several other folders and files that are very recent. The one under OneDrive appears to be older folders and files, perhaps duplicates. Some folders are identical in size to corresponding folders under Users. The LR folder in OneDrive does have the Lightroom Catalog - Master file that the Users folder does not have.

My questions are:
what are these preview files that were mysteriously deleted;
do I need to restore them;
how do I consolidate these folders and files from the two different locations.

Thank you, and please be constructive with your criticism. 😊

While I h**e to see this violence snd destruction, I cannot pretend to know what it is like to live every day knowing something horrific could happen to me simply because of the color of my skin. What happened to G****e F***d has happened too many times in this country. While that's no excuse for r**ting and l**ting, there is also no excuse for our failure to overcome the r****m that still prevails in our country.

Went to Kenya and Tanzania in September, 2019 for 2 weeks. Had a wonderful trip. It is difficult to recommend just a few places, as every place we went was great, but will try: Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi to start, Amboseli N.P., Tarangire N.P., Masai Mara Reserve and Nakuru N.P., but again, other parks and reserves were terrific too. Even though I have seen the Great Migration many times on TV, there is nothing like seeing it in person. I rented a Tamron 150-600 G2 from LensRentals and was extremely pleased with the lens and the company. Would also strongly recommend second camera body for wide angle/landscape shots. This could be a small point and shoot. Changing lenses is a bad idea as you will miss shots and because of dust. Wherever you go, have a great trip!

Have a great trip! I rented a Tamron 150-600 G2 and was very pleased with the results. You will appreciate the reach it provides. Recommend 2 camera bodies so you don't miss anything changing lenses.

Not to knock any tour company, but I think you would find that most all drivers/guides are very responsive to what you want, photography wise or anything else on safari. Oh, and try to get to Tarangire - pretty great park.
