I was trying to shoot a picture of a friends dog, who was intently focused on....you guessed it....FOOD!
When I thought I had a focus, I made a sound to get its attention, but its glance was nothing short of whiplash, and this is what I got...even got a bit of drool flying out of the mouth.

One nice thing about that lens and teleconverter was this...and i hope that y'all will forgive me if my math is off...not my best subject...was that on APS-C it became a ...well close to a 600mm lens, and on M43, it was over 800mm! Only bad thing with M43 was that i was stuck at f4. Even so, it is a fine lens

I think regret is something many of us are familiar with. I had this lens a short while, the Nikkor 300/4 PF, but as we were in need of extra money a while back, I listed it for sale with the TC-14E. My thinking then was that I could by another copy later on.

Anyhow, here are a few shots while I had it.

I can say for sure that no. 4 was shot using a Helios 85/1.5, and no. 6 using a Vivitar macro 55/2.8

This was taken several years ago when we heard that there was a meteor shower that evening. Though it was a full moon that evening, we thought to take a few beers, a tripod and a blanket and sit out to see what happened. We didn't see any meteors, but the shot was interesting; It was late dusk, almost dark, and this was likely a 20 second exposure taken with my Rokinon 8/3.5. The flare caused the full moon to look like the largest meteor we missed that likely took out Phoenix.

Playing just now with the camera, which has an Isco Westrocolor 50/1.9 on it....the dog was sitting pretty, and smiled for the shot. She normally...at best...will tolerate me taking pics of her. She isn’t really comfortable with the camera. She was constantly moving, and it was hard to get a focus, but I like this shot and will take it.

A few shots taken with this lens back on a group ride back in October. The serial number on this lens dates it to 1960-61. This is a nice old classic, and the only thing I don’t like about it is the 6 straight aperture blades.
