LensMate is working on getting the filter system for the Sony RX100 V6 out sometime in September I have one for a polarize filter on my RX100 I. So far I am quite impressed with the V6.

I have the Rx100 MK v and have used it extensively. Lensmate adapter with B+W filters. Great "Secret Sauce"!!!

That extra zoom range of the MK VI to 200mm is what the MK V has been missing. Very tempted to get it.
Do you notice the stop loss on the MK VI??

Yes. The "LensMate" filter adapter is the "secret sauce" for compact cameras without a factory thread built in.
I have a Sony DSC 100 mkV with a LensMate Adapter and B+W clear and Circular Polarizers. The clear also protects the thin metal lens cover blades. A good lens cover also works well for this setup.

Hope you can upload/post some images with your new setup, soon.

I am photographing my first wedding on August 18th 2018. Please offer any tips or ideas. Any help possible. I am getting very nervous. I have a Nikon D7500.

Some basic things to cover:
1 Backup camera, 2 bodies with lenses already ready is faster than lens changing.
2 Extra batteries, all charged. Memory cards ready. Strobes charged, ready.
3 Preset Camera ISO and other settings ahead of time.
4.Direct the subjects courteously when needed without intruding, and stay unanimous as needed.
5. Have an assistant or second "shooter" who is also an experienced photographer.
6. Know your location, know your location, pre plan, pre plan.
7. There are "standard" shots for weddings besides being creative. Make sure you get those.
8. etc.

I was fortunate to be in Yosemite just before the current large scale wild fires started. Actually, I was just fortunate to be there at all. I have to say that the hike up to glacier point was tough with a #35 camera back pack. But so much harder going down. From the valley it's a 5 mile hike to this vantage point with over 4100 vertical feet of climbing. This difficulty makes capturing the shot even more rewarding.

Shot from a location along Arbuckle Creek which runs between Lake Arbuckle and Lake Istokpoga here in central Florida. I was given the keys to this wonderful retreat to work on for a total of 4 months in my spare time. Halfway through my time here I'm finding it harder to get my work accomplished as I have so much wilderness around me. I have found a local pair of the Barred owls that still let this seasons chick come and go through their territory. Here's a few of the images Ive captured in the last month. I'm spending most all weekends there now.. My own house to do list will just have to wait... Most all shot under heavy shade in the morning or towards the evening. A little noisy as I'm still using my D7200 DX camera,(I never repaired the D600 a 2nd time). Got good news from Adorama yesterday as the D850 has been shipped. Can't wait to try out it's ISO's capabilities here......

Adobe RGB so "click" download for best viewing. Resized smaller so resolution is a bit lacking.

Need some feedback Ugly Hedgehog friends. There is a juried photography show coming up and I plan to submit some work. There are 3 categories available landscape/architecture, portrait and personal interest. I picked a few of my favorites for each category but I need help dwindling down to 4 prints. The aspect ratio is wonky from taking pics of the prints and some have a little glare from the glass, so excuse those issues if you choose to help. :) I posted in order of architecture/landscape, portrait then personal interest
What are your 4 personal favorites?

This is just an idle comment on my part. I carried a Canon DSLR with assorted glass on many trips to Europe. I switched to a mirrorless to save both weight and space. Our most recent trip to Paris and the Rhone Valley with a three day visit to Amsterdam produced some really nice photo's. My question, observation,
or curiosity is this. Why do I see so few, or no, comments about the Olympus camera in the topic section? I understand the best camera to have is the one in your hand. I've a OM D EM-10 mark III. For me, it is versatile, convenient and with the additional lenses, light. Am I the only person using an Olympus?

Aloha,
Wife and I have multiple Canon "Full Frame" gear and "L" lenses for location and studio work. I've recently been test driving smaller formats that might have a reasonable level of image quality, features, and handling, as what I'm used to. I'm impressed with the APS-C sensor Sony A6500 though the native lenses run on the slow side.

I'm now testing the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and am very impressed. Careful images in RAW the processed in Capture One then Cs6 are excellent given the sensor size. JPEG's are noisy and noticeably different than the APS-C Sony A6500. If processed in Lightroom as a JPEG. Ouch!
Lenses under test with this camera: Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm f4.0 PRO,
Olympus M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12-40mm F2.8 PRO, Olympus M.ZUIKO 40-150mm f/2.8 Interchangeable PRO Lens.

So far. Images are excellent. Noise is minimal and easily cleaned up in post. Colors are accurate though not "Canon". Very little chromatics on these lenses even with backlit shots or high contrast. Controls on the camera are outstanding and similar to the manual controls on older DSLR's.

As for focusing. It is quick, nearly as quick as the Sony. But. . . . the %% of tack sharp images seen at 400% is not as high as the Sony and certainly not as high as the "keeper rate" on my newer Canon 5dMkIV. I'm not sure why. Will have to test drive it a bit more.

As for workmanship. Wow!! Feels the the German workmanship of old. No cheap plasticy feel. Dials click. Everything well thought out. Absolutely solid. And, mechanically feels like a fine machine, metal, not plastic. Absolutely, IMHO worth the $$ for those that can afford it and want that type of "feel".

I hope this helps you ponder on the Olympus.
Aloha,
jim

Some recent test images. Shot in Raw, post in Capture One and Cs6.
"CLICK" download for best viewing as shots are in Adobe RGB.
**Note. These are the absolute best images that I could get out of this thing given the captures.
Enjoy.
