Kingfisher without question. Even Osprey are easier at the end of the dive because of the distance to track.

Not sure if you meant my post but the numbers are correct. The cite in your post confirms this. >(35 billion tons of carbon dioxide) per year in the 2010s, according to the Global Carbon Update 2021.

Total CO2 in the atmosphere is 2,148,000,000,000,000 Kgs. or .000417 of the total atmosphere of 5,150,000,000,000,000 Kgs of gases, .9903 of which are Nitrogen and Oxygen.
The annual addition from man is statistically not meaningful or impactful.

Which is why the use of graphs and metric tons is promoted but without the relevant showing of CO2 as a part of the total atmospheric gas. OMG CO2 is up 33% since the 1700's ! We are all going to die !! It would look like a hair at the bottom of the graph with a bump on the end.

[quote=Canisdirus]The math does not hold up.

By accounts...mans contribution of carbon (which is a good element btw)...is around 3-4% of the total amount in the atmosphere."

This is the new way of trying to show virtue by concentrating a disproportionate amount of attention on an infinitesimal matter. Like having protests about some societal issue that is known to be prevalent in .002 of the population as a whole.

THE TOTAL CO2 in the atmosphere is .0417% (.000417) of the entire atmosphere. Thus if man has contributed 4% of the total that is .00001668. Pre industrial .00040032, today .0004170. Statistically meaningless.
The warming is evident - the cause has been misattributed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy: "I told the President, the Big Guy, look get on your plane and fly me $500 million more US dollars or I bring back the prosecutor you had fired. You have 6 hours to get the plane in the air. And Son of a B***h - here he is in Kyiv taking photos with me."

What TALENT !! OMG!! She was fantastic ! The lyrics are so inspirational to a new generation of Americans! Great for the NFL!! Young girls should ALL be singing today!
Opening song:>>>>>>>>>>>
[Pre-Chorus]
Like bra, bra, bra
Louis XIII, and it's all on me, n***a, you just bought a shot
Kamikaze, if you think that you gon' knock me off the top
S**t, your wife in the backseat of my brand new foreign car
Don't act like you forgot
I call the shots, shots, shots
Like bra, bra, bra
Pay me what you owe me, don't act like you forgot

Other HIGHLIGHTS:>>>>>>>
Strip clubs and dolla' bills, I still got mo' money
Patron shots can I get a refill
I still got mo' money
Strippers going up and down that pole
And I still got mo' money
Four o'clock and we ain't going home, 'cause I still got mo' money
Money make the world go round, I still got mo' money
Bands make your girl go down, I still got mo' money
Lot more where that came from, I still got mo' money
The look in your eyes I know you want some
And I still got mo' money...

WAIT!! THERES MORE>>>>>>
Ayy, uh huh, uh huh, I heard that pussy for the taking
I heard it got these other n***as goin' crazy
Yeah I treat you like a lady, lady
F*ck you 'til you're burned out, cremation
Make it cream, yeah, Wu-Tang
Throw that ass back, bouquet
Call me and I can get it juicy
I can tell you're gone off the D'usse
Careful mama watch what you say
You talking to me like ya new bae
Girl, talking like you tryna do things
Now that pipe got her running like she Usain, baby

Getting BETTER>>>>>>
Somethin' wrong, I hold my head
MJ gone, our n***a dead
I slapped my girl, she called the feds
I did that time and spent that bread
I'm heading home, I'm almost there
I'm on my way, heading up the stairs
To my surprise, a n***a replacing me
I had to take him to that ghetto university

Nice capture !! Even in serious disputes (and not just mating flare ups) I am impressed that the aggressor does not damage the eyes of the other bird. The beaks of Anhinga, Egrets, and Herons are accurate in so far as they use them to spear fish so the lack of vision disabling intent is nice to see. Perhaps "do unto others" is more widespread than we are led to believe.

Almost ALL auto parts stores now have free to use OBD readers. Pull up, walk in, take it out to your car and get the code to download to the reader, take it inside and they can show you what it is. They can then cross reference it to various manufacturers parts and sell it to you. Works out for them and yourself. Wifes Honda got the idiot check engine light. Stopped by, Oxygen Sensor. They could tell it was #1 of the 2 O2 sensors. Could buy a $105 one or a $45 one. I bought the $45 one, used the special tool they also provide free of charge ( a socket with a side cutout for the wiring harness), five minutes later I am done. I used AutoZone that day but Advanced Auto Parts does the same.

Assuming everyone here is paying Federal tax you are paying for all these schemes anyway. They qualify for a 30% tax credit. So you buy a $50,000 system and you get a refundable $15,000 tax credit on your federal return. Not to mention some states offer the free handouts also.

Here is the exchange you must have missed if it happened during Trumps administration.

DJT: Shoot the damn thing down now.
Military: But Sir, we just now saw it and gave them a five minute window to comply.
DJT: F that, they have had 2 minutes already and done nothing. Shoot it down.
Balloon: SHHHHHHHHHHH splat

Media: Trump maliciously orders innocent Chinese balloon delivering Won Ton to the homeless shot down. Risks World War three to feed his ego. Time to impeach again?

Social Security is a complex social insurance system that embodies elements of group term
insurance, pension policies, and income redistribution.
Unlike private retirement plans, social objectives are
an integral part of Social Security-including such
factors as disability and survivors coverage. Moreover,
Social Security has a built-in benefit formula that is
weighted in favor of workers with low lifetime earnings. Expressed in terms of replacement for lost earnings, this means that at the normal retirement age
(currently 65, but going up to 67 in the future), the
replacement rate for a low-income worker is about 60
percent; for an average-income worker, about 41 percent Social Security Bulletin, August 1987/Vol. 50. No. 8
cent; and for a high-income worker, approximately 26
percent.
This basic policy of social insurance gives rise to
the key choices by which benefits under such a program are to be distributed: Either according to need
or according to individual tax payments. This option
if often referred to as a choice between “adequacy”
and “equity’ or between the “welfare” and “insurance” elements of the program. The uniqueness of
the Social Security program is that it does both, and,
in fact, can change the mix over time to respond to
changing needs.
Dorcas Hardy, quoted above was the head of Social Security.

The reason the Soc Sec tax applicable wage cap phases out can be seen above. It has many elements of a welfare system. The low wage recipient gets a disproportionate share of benefits compared to the high wage recipient. High wage taxpayers get less than half the proportional benefit of the lower wage taxpayer. So to merely say lets raise the FICA cap does not address the inequity already in the formulas.
The expansion of all the other non retirement provisions within Soc Sec also drains away funds.

You could never make SS a private investment because within 5 years people would be calling their Congressman to pass a "hardship waiver" law as it is their money and they want it now.
So you end up with responsible people with a retirement fund and the rest have pissed it away early. Sounds familiar doesn't it?
