Yeah I’ll post some pics soon. (just when you critique don’t criticize.. laughter will be welcomed). Took a look at both links, and I’ll most likely add them to my iPad for quick reference. Thanks for the tips

Hello. Well I’ve been on the fence on what to do buy, and yesterday I fast forwarded to the 21century. I bought a Sony a6000 two lens kit. From still having and using my old D100 and Oly’ e-500 this was a leap. So ok, I didn’t get the D500 that my right hand was locked onto, or the A7III. My thoughts are to use this little Sony so to Reactivate my love of photography. And if it is a success I’ll upgrade again.
I enjoy shooting fast moving water sports, kayaking landscape, auto racing, ghost towns, and more. Oh and fishing scenes as well.
So any advise of using the features on the a6000?

My first question for you would be, have you ever kayaked before? And what’s your skill levels. If your just starting to kayak, then to do water time and become familiar with this new sport. If you have lots of time on the water then start with a inexpensive point n shoot, or to dbl zip bag, or to pick up the camera dry bag shown. When I started kayaking years ago I recall loosing some pricy fishing gear, and lunch. So just a suggestion.

Your inquiry reminded me of this. Several years ago I wanted a vest for a trip to Central America. After searching I settled on one from Bananna Republic. All cotton, light in weight, tons of pockets and comfortable in the tropical climate. Looking on the ‘Bananna’ they do not list one. However, on Amazon? Yes! Search ‘Cargo Vests’ nothing more specific, and I’m sure you could find one to your liking.

So I apologize you misunderstood my comment
I don’t have an apprehension towards ‘refurbished cameras’, and I’m currently looking for an D800e. However, my comment was regarding how my daughter would regard a used or referbished item (aside from a car). So friend, I hope I’ve cleared up what I was saying, and wish for you and yours to enjoy the holidays, and take many memorable photos.

I’ve been observing the comments and suggestions, and all good. However, you say she’s an adult (32). Giving the assumption she already has a updated quality cell phone along with knowing what I own,I would ask what is her opinion of “decent camera”, and will a P&S fill the answer. As for used equipment great for my sons, but for my daughter.. not great unless she’s involved with choosing. Sorry, just my two cents
