I was happy to see this thread because I just recently tried this effect a few days ago. Mine aren't as smooth as the others but I thought it was fun to try. I used PSE 10.

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I tried this effect with PSE 10 a few days ago. Do you mind if I post a couple of my attempts?

Feel free to post pics. I have become addicted to this effect.

Nice job Hobby. I really like how you kept it understated and having the effect on both sides. Well done!

Bill

PS: Warning! It gets addictive. I'VE DONE ABOUT 10 OF THEM SO FAR.

Thanks WCBike for showing me this. You have created another monster.

Hoppy, check out this tutorial on Adobetv.com. It guides you through the process. It took me a copule tryies to figure out the best photos to use and some of the finer points.

Dang...I like the first one!

Thanks JParker,

The original was just an ok, but kind of boring shot. Out of Bounds really made it pop.

Hi WCBike, great work using this technique, fun to look at, very interesting, I would love to do this and I love the glass and the third pic is special.

Thanks Howie,

It is really pretty easy if you have Photoshop Elements 9. When you open a photo, click on the guided edit on top right. The Out of Bounds effect is way down at the bottom.

I see you are from the Jersey Shore. I am in Old Bridge, NJ exit 120 on Parkway.

I'm currently using the newest trial version and can't afford to buy it. Does anyone have one for sale at a reasonable price?

Go with Photoshop Elements 10. Probably more than what 95% of photographers need.
Roughly $100

Did you mean the D7000? That is the upgrade to the D90. I have both. The D7000 is awesome, but there is a learning curve involved.

Tiffany's decorated their windows for the holiday with a piece of etched glass forming a "peephole" into a winter scene. Each winter scene featured a small piece of Tiffany jewelry. Sometimes the jewelry is not always obvious. Hope you enjoy.
