Thanks. That monitor is a VA panel which gives me something to consider. The curved panel is to keep the angle of view consistent if I’m not mistaken

Kevin, another possibility is looking at higher end used monitors available in your local area. They depreciate quivkly but you want you see them in use before pulling the trigger.

Thanks !

I have a couple Dell UP3216Q - 32" 4K, which were about $1500 a piece - really good and run full RGB Gamut and can be fully calibrated. Not sure if they can still be found as they are now discontinued. The newer more pedestrian units you are looking at may be OK but are more geared towards the hobby user - But the price is right.

Bob, nice specs but likely blows the budget constraints.

Yes it does

Thanks for the recommendation. It is too high for my budget. I’d really like to know what the differences are between an IPS and VA monitor also. The one I referenced is 99% sRGB which should okay I guess.

I am looking to buy a new 4K monitor for photo editing and would prefer a 32” screen instead of 27. I currently am using a 10 year old Dell 24” My main computer is a Dell XPS 13 with a 4K display. Trying to do this on a lower cost budget. I’ve found the following on sale.
It is a VA display instead of IPS. Ive read pros and cons on this. Does anyone have experience with this model or VA displays in general? If not this monitor then I’m open to suggestions. Thanks

I do not think that the 18-200mm zoom is still supported, especially what sounds like a first-generation version as described. I have had no success over the past year finding anyone willing to even look at mine. I have also not found one for sale during that time.

Clearly there are other similar options. For me, they just don't work. We'll have to see how flexible the OP is willing and able to be.

That’s true there are other options for sure. If the lens is no longer supported that will be their only choice.

[quote=User ID]The 24-120/4 is heavy but the reward, and reason for the weight, is its significant wide angle ability. That applies only to use on FF bodies. Using it on an APSC body does not seem to address the OPs concerns at all.[/quote

Understood and that was not my point. The point was that Nikon can possibly fix the OP’s lens in an expedient manner if they want to keep the lens.

My wife uses a D7200 with the 24-120 f4 Nikkor lens most of the time. The lens started having a few issues and we just decided to send it to Nikon for repair. They get the lens and quote the cost. Then you accept or not the repair and charges. They did a great job getting her lens back to like condition. Just mentioning this because it is an option if you like the lens
