Been there, done that. Is the little park still there?
Yes if you mean the are between 2 buildings with a bench and murals on the walls.
Blackwater sounds like the name of a town in the old west. Found just off I-70 is the town of Blackwater MO. It was founded in 1887 after the Missouri Pacific Railroad needed a coal refilling station between Jefferson City and Kansas City. They built a replica of the 1887 depot. An interesting place to visit. https://www.blackwatermissouri.com/

Thanks for the history and images. Images are great.
I think this summer I would like to go to the railroad depot at South Gifford. Good bucket list item. Stan
Here is a great site that lists railroad depots by state. https://www.denverrails.com/db/index.cfm
Nice set thanks for sharing
A case of cabin fever called for a road trip to find this old depot.
Iowa and St. Louis (later CB&Q) Railroad depot at South Gifford, MO. The I&STL was in existence from 1903-1947 between Sedan, IA and Mercyville, MO (just east of Elmer). The line between South Gifford and Mercyville was abandoned on 1936. In 1942, the line was abandoned north of South Gifford towards Youngstown. https://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/wm13MG0_Iowa_and_St_Louis_South_Gifford_MO
