captured our first gladiolus bloom of the year. This one is situated so the only way to get this shot is through one of the squares in a chain-link fence from a pretty low angle. Kind of a tough shot for a recently retired old fat man.

What flavor children did they use for the meat?

You might also try focusing using live view. And locking the mirror up.

yeppers; all of mine so far have been shot using live view. My poor eyesight (even with prescription glasses) is the limiting factor on the focus however.

Greetings all, After browsing through some "new topics" here I was inspired to share these from back in July 2010 taken with a, then new to me. Canon A620 point and shoot. I think they are pretty decent considering the level of camera used.

I have been a long time enthusiast of shooting wildlife and recently took an interest in digi-scoping. Granted using a spotting scope requires a lot of light as they do not have the light gathering capabilities of a true camera lens. That and they are a bit bulky requiring use of a tri-pod, but using the high end of a 20 to 60x lets you reach out to great distances otherwise unachievable unless you want to spend some really big bucks on high end sports lenses.

Check out some of my first shots with the Redfield Rampage here: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-443618-1.html

and for a closer look at the scope: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=Brand_Redfield&ci=1032&N=4083534116+4031180025

then just add what-ever brand adapter you need. The one I bought came with collars to fit four different diameter eye pieces and the Canon bodies.

I wasn't quite sure what the b&w was, this is much more obvious. Both perspectives are nice shots though.

Right, I should have included I am a Mac guy but thought the reference to iPhoto and Aperture would be clear.

Probably was clear to other Mac guys, but I'm just and old guy still trying to figure out this whole computer age thingamabob.

MS Power Point was pretty useful where I used to work. The training dept. used it almost exclusively for classes. It included a lot of photography shot onsite then incorporated into class presentations. They added music, graphics, controlled timing, special effects, etc.

OK, hoping I'm getting better service from the provider now. Here are some shots from Penasco, NM in May of 2015.

What are you using for shutter release?

10 sec timer in the 80D, (2 sec wasn't long enough for it to stabilize on a wooden deck). Looking for a compatible remote, but it all seems a little confusing. When I was researching the 80, one of the techs on B&H told me the one we used with the Rebel would work, but now I cannot figure out how from reading the manual. Any suggestions are welcome.

Here are a couple we got while vacationing in 2015. These are somewhere on HWY160 in Colorado; taken in Sept. 2015. Sorry I cannot recall which town.

I should get a few locally tomorrow weather permitting as I am planning a fairly long ride on the motorcycle and know where a few are located. I also had a few others ready to share just now, but the Interweeb seems to be moving slowly this morning; will add those later.
