Perhaps I’ve misunderstood MWalsh’s point but I believe his point is we cannot tell who placed the ad; it could be an effort at disinformation. Personally, I think it would be very easy to use Facebook to create an anti-Trump demonstration for free.

Actually, if you look back I think you will see he was originally making fun of your misspelling. You posted “decisive” when you meant “d******e” and I believe he was attempting to embarrass you. On my iPhone it appears as page 4, post #10. He appears not to remember his original intent. His eventual response used “tow” instead of “to”.

In my opinion, you’re both too hot headed and are both guilty of not proofreading your posts. The iPhone AI substitutes words for us and we sometimes fail to catch the substitutions.

The way this thread has evolved is the reason I typically don’t bother to post any longer; it’s usually a waste of time. Here’s Frank’s original post followed by your response (please note your post introduced the word “decisive”). I noticed it but couldn’t be bother pointing it out (at first). To play “grammar police” is little more than pedantry borne of intolerance.

Very true. The difficulty is that our society is now more polarized than any other time in my 70 years. Reasonable people on each side are being drowned out by the very large extremist Republican and Democrat contingents now on full display. We see it differently. When you earlier said you treat someone "respectfully" it is by definition a form of respect. So, my "default" position is to respect others (as in "always respect your elders".... it is the way I was brought up). People can lose my respect if, by their behavior they show they are not respectable but the respect is not based on some achievement they must first make before I respect them. I realize this sounds like a pedantic difference but I think we actually have opposite opinions. Even though we may disagree on definition, I respect you and my preference is to keep it that way!
