We've all taken Images we weren't satisfied with on the first round of editing, this Challenge is all about the Images you achieve after the Second round of editing. AKA the Re Do. Please share your original edit and Your redone Image. If you like you can explain what you did differently.

Thank you, JJ, for hosting a popular topic last week.

This week is a "Themed" no host week. When there is no one to host, Photogirl17 often leaves the week for "free posts" - like a continuation of Free Sunday. This time, NO HOST week has the theme "Letter S" for September and anything else you can find - be it a sign, a word that begins with "S", a trail that looks like an "S", an "S" you see in nature - you get the idea.

So post the "S"s and comment if/when you can. Lesley and I will be around, but perhaps not as "present." We need a break.

Well it’s that time again. Free Sunday has arrived and you are invited to post any leftovers from previous challenges on this thread or any new creations you think we will enjoy. I’ll get it started with some of this and some of that.

My contribution for this weeks free Sunday is a series of “ on the fly” captures at the Bristol Renaissance Faire in Kenosha, Wisconsin pre CoVid. It’s a great place to capture portraitures because of the colorful costumes and makeup of the participants. It’s a little difficult to get good captures because of the constant movement and the fact that they will not engage, in fact , will move on when being photographed. They are all done in available light and rendered as best I could. I’ll look for a few more Sunday morning. I should have a file somewhere on a hard drive.

Now is the time and Free Sunday is the day. Share your leftovers or new shots you want us to enjoy as much as you have. It only needs to be family friendly, so anything from your archives or brand-new captures will make the grade here.
I’ll start with a few from my archives that will involve waters we’ve relaxed by.

hanks again Larry

HDR photography is a technique where multiple bracketed images are blended together to create a single beautifully exposed photo.

In other words, you take several photos with different exposures, then you combine them – in a program like Lightroom or Photoshop – to create a highly detailed file.
Why is this necessary?
Your camera can only capture a limited range of lights and darks (i.e., a limited dynamic range). If you point your camera at a dark mountain in front of a bright sunset, no matter how much you tweak the image exposure, your camera will generally fail to capture detail in the mountain and the sky; you’ll either capture an image with a beautiful sky but a dark, detailless mountain, or you’ll capture an image with a detailed mountain but a bright, blown-out sky.
High dynamic range photography aims to address this issue. Instead of relying on the camera’s limited dynamic range capabilities, you can take multiple photos that cover the entire tonal range of the scene.

This Challenge is meant to get you into using Your Camera's Bracketing Settings..

The above Description is an excerpt from Digital Photography School.
