If folks here aren't taking a look at the black and white section, they are missing something. Some of today's (Friday) best photos, in my opinion are in the b&w section.

Thank you for the tip John. This is a section I have overlooked and I really enjoy good b&w photography. Not enjoying the new format either!

Another one late to the party but I just had to add to the many positive comments. Yes, another dog and horse lover here.I have had many dogs over the years but was always a town girl so never got to develope that special horse bond. I read books, made scrapbooks and studied anything and everything about horses. Done trail rides on rented horses over the years (rode the mules on Molokai too😁) and even got to take horseback riding as a PE course at college. I also have volunteered at a local therapeutic horseback riding clinic. So it isn’t that I haven’t had some horse contact but still not as good as just having my own. I enjoyed your story very much. Share more horse stories anytime!

In the 1940s, there was a huge single pear tree in a field, Jimmy and I would climb it and eat our fill of pears.

Your, simple all-green vanishing point construction, photo tells a memory-provoking story well.

Appreciate your comments. I do enjoy my morning orchard walks around here and after harvest finding one they missed and eating a truly tree ripened treat!

Nice shot Linda. Real fruit coming up for you. Not like the cardboard tasting stuff we get down there.

Thank you. I know what you mean. Local and fresh is the best!

I love your dramatic processing. My favorite is the giraffe (I think🤔). The only thing I might play with a bit is the red nostrils on the Bear. Maybe just tone it down a bit?

Reminds me of an old vintage postcard. Fascinating to look at, could have been taken 50 years ago. I don’t think the Yakima Valley Visitors Guide will be contacting you for the photo!
Actually makes me want to head for the mountains! Even though it was taken in the fall it looks like a hot and dry morning in the dry side of Washington State. Of course I am probably being influenced by the hot and dry weather right now!
