She’s got it very short at the moment… it DOES suit her. Takes a few years off her too…..

I'm getting mine cut shorter too, to the top of my shoulders. The nuns always told my mother, long hair is making your daughter fail? I proved them wrong. But now I think I want a change. xoxo

Too cold to do anything today, might even have to light the wood stove. So I will make it a day of catching up with friends letters and email and maybe do some dream garden planning. I think of Jeanette (Rookie) often and wonder how she is doing with her garden. Have a good Friday all. Darn spell check keeps trying to change it to Good Friday. xox

Hoping your eye continue improving. Some times surgery comes with more risks than we are willing to take.

Thank you Judith, that has always been in the back of my mind as well. No guarantees.

If you find a good tonic please share. I have chalked it up to me being old. I refuse to stay idle and do a lot more than I want to do or I would sit in front the t.v. and computer all day and eat prepared meals.

They used to make a liquid tonic called Maltivol, It was multivitamins and you could get it with iron or without.
It was in a fine sherry base and I've never minded taking my 5mls ever! It's not on the shelves now, but I have been able to order it through pharmacy as a special order.

I woke up to 6 inches of freshly fallen snow this a.m. I am not happy nor am I enjoying it's beauty.

Oh no... you don't deserve that. Is snow this time of the year normal or unusual? Any way it sucks.

Did you try unplugging and plugging in the TV again. For some reason that works with our TV better than just powering it off.
Love you back Susan

I just moved my router to the centre of the house, did that ever make a difference getting wifi to the porches. After reading up on it, I had to laugh...do not situate the router so it is going through any large fish tanks, now it's even closer to them!

That is how our roof arrived too. I hope your re-roofing goes well. We were very happy with the company who did ours.
Your hyacinths are lovely. How is the fence working out? I didn't mind opening and closing the gate across our driveway at the old house.
hmmm I'm surprised that the hemorrhage actually helped. I hope your sight continues to improve over the next weeks.

I love the fence, I have some boundaries now, it makes the place feel cozy. I try to utilize the fence in safe places to grow climbers up. The bats have just returned, hopefully they will nest in the bat house or my wood piles, or even the rock wall and not get access to the attic during roofing. So far it's going very well. Surprised me too that I can see better as far as floaters go, can't figure that one out. xoxo

Mum has already had some work done under the new dental plan. DD is waiting for her group to be included. She will be 40 this year, so she still has some time to wait I think. I have private insurance through my workplace so I won't qualify for the new dental plan, but I'm doing ok with my current arrangements. I still haven't heard back from the specialist.

I have a 40 yr old too, she will be very happy to have the plan. I'm so glad the dentist talked me out of having all mine removed, once all the maintenance was done, I'm good.

That's how our winter has been this year, teen and 20 degree weather followed by a return to cold temperatures, This is the first storm that will have a significant amount of snow though. We did have a blowing snow event earlier that made drifts but was only about 3" of snow accumulation in non=windy areas. With winds we could get larger drifts this time.
I'm really glad that I won't be out on the roads.
This is bi=weekly shopping weekend. So we will be watching how quickly the roads are cleared. I may be doing the shopping on Sunday.

The chipmunk that burrowed under the corner of our garage has been moving the bricks and rocks that we put in front of the hole. He has another hole in the garden just feet away but he/or she/ really wants this hole under the garage. Mum is going to tack a piece of wood over the hole but I think it will just chew through that. Chipmunks are persistent. We need to get it out before April/May when chipmunks have families around here.
We have live traps for the squirrels and have rehoused a few of them, but the chipmunk is too small and fits in and out of the holes in the cage.
Does that India food restaurant do deliveries?

Good morning all from a cloudy and cooler Norfolk. DH will be going shopping in a minute and I might tackle the ironing as we're on leftovers for dinner so no prep to do. Nothing else planned apart from knitting of course. Have a good day if you can. xx

Good morning! Sounds like an easier day, at least in the kitchen. I started having good days when I learned how to say NO! xoxox

I’m so glad I have the car. When I was picking up my car a fellow was upset because they didn’t clean his mother’s air filter or replace her car’s fluid. He said he wasn’t going there again . I’m worried the rodent who got my car will get it gain. Son bought some spray that they don’t like the odor and has been spraying around the car each night. Just a job every night. Once my taxes are done I’ll look for a pest Control person who catches and releases. I don’t want to hurt them just find them a place not here. I met friends for lunch at a restaurant that had delicious India food. They made me some with no salt. Quite good. I am trying to finish the book I’m reading but too tired tonight. Got to an exciting part.

Everyday might be overkill Polly, if it's a rat you could set some traps, squirrel's just monitor until you see one. Look under your hood once a week. There's probably rules to relocating pests, rats definitely! Glad it's all fixed for you!
