The French auto company, Ballot, wanted to boost its recognition world wide as a serious performance car manufacturer. They developed a car specifically to race in the 1919 Indy 500. It had a sleek design and advanced suspension and braking systems. The engine was an in-line 8 cylinder of 4816 cc. It had double overhead cams and 4 valves per cylinder. It put out 140 HP. Top speed was right at 105 MPH. It was running very well in the race, leading at times. Something went awry with the rear wheels ( I'm not sure what ) and it was retired from the race.

Ho-hum, just another great shot of a significant auto. Well, done, Tom.

This is a 2023 SSC Tuatara. It was designed by the owner of SSC, Jerod Shelby. The car sells for $1,600,000. It is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 putting out 1,750 HP. It is currently the fastest car in the world....clocked at 316 MPH.

Yet, another car that I wasn't aware of. Thank you,Tom. H-m-m-m, "Just Got Even More Powerful". When 0-60 in 2.5 seconds isn't fast enough!

Not only is this a beautiful 1960 250 GT SWB Competition model, but it's the only white Ferrari that I can remember ever seeing. I think it's outstanding.

I love the shape and wheels on this little white gem, Tom. I do recall seeing a white Testarossa, actually, didn't Don Johnson drive one on "Miami Vice"? I found a few more, but when I buy my Ferrari (ha ha ha) it's going to be red. Just like my Miata 8-)

OK, I give. What are anaglyph glasses? I bought 3D glasses on line and brought glasses home from a 3D movie and they don't seem to work.

The first shot was taken in the fall of 1948, by my Mom, using her trusty "Brownie Target Six-16".

The second was taken in the fall of 2004, by Mom, using one of the disposable cameras left on the table for anyone to use. Dad passed away a few months after this was taken.

The NY MTA (Metropolitan Transit Authority) wants the NYC Marathon to pay $750,000 for the toll money it loses while the Verrazano Bridge is closed for the NYC Marathon. The Marathon begins on Staten Island and covers all five boroughs. They could begin the Marathon in Brooklyn, but that would leave Staten Island out. One thing I liked about the Marathon was that I ran past my old apartment building in Bayridge. They say the Marathon brings over $400 million into the City from the influx of runners and their families.

My poor wife and her friend had to leave me off on Staten Island early in the morning. Then they had to drive into Manhattan and find a place to park, all this with my toddler son in a stroller.

Jerry, I think this guy has to be relegated to "second" place, behind you. You're a pretty interesting guy...and now we add marathon runner!

I didn't watch or listen to her much when I was younger, but since I ran across this on youtube I have listen to this everyday with youtube on "loop". I didn't notice how cute and pretty She was back then. I have put many, many, many links of Her songs and videos in favorites, and I'm not getting too many things done unless it is a complete album. I think James Taylor (think that's his name) was a fool for divorcing Her. I have to smile at that little baby near the end of this song.

Now I'm posting stuff like Jerry. This is a really good album next. I can turn on the "loop" and listen to this album all day and get a few things done before I take a break.

Jerry, you should add these results to the survey...the number of people that don't read all of the answers and continue to take the survey and give answers.

Not necessarily. A great number of cars are preserved or restored. Right?

I'll tell her. Oh, I checked the car window and it still has the spots of dust turned to mud by the rain. Do you want to come over and try to get rid of them again?

Sure, Robert, I'll bring my Windex and a razor blade.

"modify, tell what and why..." I got rid of the dust which kind of ruined an otherwise fun shot. Great shot, Debra.
