I was watching a program about Africa last night on TV.
I had never realised that Zebras are so well camouflaged with their stripes.

Alright, it's me again....now that I have had a proper look at it, it appears to be and is, pretty fricking neat!! How did you get the "See-through" effect? I take it that you were participating in and with a pretty good Safari/outfitter endeavor. You really are one lucky fellow. Or one lucky idiot, goober, booger, putz (That's only when you screw-up), yukyuk, and that is all. Farmer....I hope that you were talking about Africa and not a "Canned" hunt here in the States. I have done both...and I to this day cannot to this day decide upon which I would consider better. Yes, for me the plane trips suck, but it is the whole experience of the adventure that keeps me going back. That is why I took my Grandson on a combo Safari last year, and perhaps he will like to feed the villagers if he ever harvests a critter. Now a-days I can't honestly shoulder a needed weapon and I sure as heck am not to ask the little booger to do it. I take pictures now, and that is why I ship the whole family out to take pix from here in the States to the real world. Good Night.

No thanks. Not for me. I climb on a chair to change a light bulb and I get a nosebleed.

Hey Ron K.....it's not that difficult. I also prefer not to deal with crap like that, but me and the fiancee have a deal worked out. I will take care of unwanted critters in the house if she does her part. I do ALL of the cooking so she's stuck with the clean-up. (I've also been lucky enough to have her offer to do prep work.) I never thought she'd volunteer to do anything in the kitchen. I tend to take over the kitchen when I need to cook, and even the Grandson and the Grand Daughter ask permission before they come into to area. I guess that I spent too many years in service, but some things are what they are. 8-)

Thanks for the re-memories!!! Sometimes we forget what we have seen and known. It was a good reminder of what is not remembered or known.8-)

Good idea but they need to work on the aesthetics. As they are they're great for the macho machine but there's no way I'm putting them on my car. Just too ugly.

Then just get rid of the Prius and get something that can actually use BALLS (aka tires/rubbers/treads/getters/swampers/diggers/Mudders Etc.   8-)

Geez Dook. Why trash a classic ride to make it a "Rod". I used to date a chick back in High-school and her Dad used to refinish old cars. If Art would see a '34 or any old rig he'd bitch about them today as he used to back when we saw them in the '70's. I saw the smile on his face, but he'd be happy. I'd have left it original, but to each their own.8-).

Ted. All in all, it is good to know that someone of your knowledge happened to come into posting on this site. I really do apologize if my reply offended you. My cousin is a blow-hard and so is my brother and they brag until a person feels like being ill. I am making this public apology so others perhaps will learn. Sorry again, Doc.8-)

The first step should be to find out if your prescription involves simply a diopter correction for the range of focusing errors from farsightedness to nearsightedness, or involves other corrections such as a cylinder and it's axis, as might correct astigmatism. Your camera's viewfinder can compensate for the former at best but that is the most common problem. If you have more elaborate corrections, then use your glasses while focusing. Ask your eye doc to explain the numbers on the prescription. They use much of the photographer's vocabulary and their handwriting is more obscure than the numbers.

Professor Smith, or Dr. Ted, even Dr. Smith or Professor Ted, (Whichever you prefer) I, and probably most of us folks don't worry, or even think about "Diopter, nearsightedness, astigmatisms. We only care about taking a good image. I personally have never thought about if my looking glasses were/are compatible with any camera I am using at the time. Heck, I have enough trouble figuring out a decent composition for the image that I am trying to get. I happen to have a cousin that is also a Doctor (Medical/Triage/ER etc. He's also a Pilot that flies for the DNR. It must have been difficult for you to study enough to get a whole Alphabet behind your name. You missed on, as did my cousin Tommy did. It's a DFCS. That translates to "Degree From Common Sense." At anyrate... good luck to you.8-)

I'm sure we are all sorry that C.David or DavidC., or whatever, is disappointed in your post, Steve. Tears are falling from my eyes! Oh, I guess it's because I'm laughing!
Great thoughts in your post. Too many feel they must live a dull and dismal, frugal life to prosper. Your message makes it clear this isn't so.
Thank you!

Danilo, I have no Idea as to which post that you are referring to. When you figure it out, please let the rest of us know.

Interesting gm. Keller is a very good wordsmith (Yes, I misspelled it on porpose). Lets see where this thread goes. 8-)

I have absolutely no idea what the previous poster is talking about. Does anyone else? The OP is a beautifully written, inspiring piece of work. If we could all follow just part of what he suggests, this would truly be a wonderful world.

Which previous post are you talking about?

Political correctness?? What happened to the jokes of old? You know...the ones that didn't denigrate due to sex, race, color or creed. When did "bashing" become funny and the norm?

Heck Rex, I also do not know when humor went by the wayside. I am pretty sure that real humor still is alive and lives all around us. The trouble is, no-one can see humor anymore. I take it that you are a person from the 1960's, as am I. Heck man, even back then we never even knew about any kind of joke that would put anyone down. (Hell, at least I never heard one.) Sure, we used to pick on the Polacks, but that was only because we are Polish, and that, I guess, is acceptable.I have a boat-load of Polack jokes to tell you and everyone if you are curious. Also a bunch of Blond Jokes. 8-)
