"Nice to see the real self portraits."
Can you guess where I am standing?
Hint.. look at the shadow.
I have used bigphotohelp for years. Always fast and helpful. Once the PO damaged my panos. they replaced them at no charge. I have never found anyone less expensive. They have archival prints for little more than regular.

Here are two panos of the Alabama Air National Guard at the Birmingham airport. The lower one was done with film and practically no overlap. It was an air show in 1993. At that time the Air National Guard flew F4 Phantoms Sky Cranes.
By 2004, their mission had changed to refueling tankers. The tankers are quieter but not nearly as exciting to watch take off and land. Such is progress.

The focal length is determined by how many images I want. One row in a 360 (every 45 degrees) would be 8 images. This was the widest angle for the La Defense pano 6.1mm on the G10. For the Old Mill I used the greatest optical telephoto which is 30.5mm on the G10. That's why there were 127 images. What is more important is setting the camera on manual focus and exposure. With many images the light can change if a cloud passes by. The mill pano was taken on an overcast day for uniform lighting. I then used "curves" in Photoshop improve contrast.
