It is very important that this question is never answered satisfactorily. For us, this means we get choices, and for them, it means competitive pressure to keep improving their products and service.

Your right of course. I guess I am just tired of questions that have no answer. I am not trying to throw stones. I hated philosophy classes for the same reason. I gUess I need a nap.

We occasionally have that phenomenon in the winter. I would love to see a shot taken of it but it would be that once in a lifetime shot.

There are more than a few of us that still use those "old" cameras. They are still fun to play with sometimes. I am not giving up my digital cameras but I still enjoy shooting film sometime. Have fun.

In my experience I have had sharper shots with Tamron glass than I have had with Sigma but any lens can be crummy. Send it back post haste. Good luck!

Anytime I use something as a fill-in it usually doesn't work. A spotting scope is very different from a rifle scope but neither of them is going to be a very good photo lens.

As long as it keeps your equipment safe it is a good tripod. If your equipment is in any jeopardy it is a poor purchase.

I have the 100mm and it does everything I want. I can't see the extra $ for the 180mm w/o IS. If this is going to be your only interest and you have a lot of $ get them both.

Weather can't be too bad as the cats are on the grass. All of my yard is white. I sympathize with your impatience waiting for a new camera. One of life's finer things. Have fun.

I am always amazed at how good the old lenses still look. The build quality had to have been superior to todays lenses even if the optics weren't. Beautiful!

I think your input is an amazing idea. I too will pray and keep you in mind. Many of us have had experience with the medical community and as much as I swear at them they do some amazing things.

I also favor B+W as they are so well built. The deal from B&H is so good I am going to buy one. Welcome to the forum Lisa.
