Oh, my friend, obviously you have never been to West Virginia. Just saw a 1990 Chevy truck on the lot with only 3000 miles on it. Great buy don't you think?[/quote]

On one of my old Fords I saw 3000 miles three times!

Dangerously close to being historically accurate!

Perhaps it's the accuracy that disturbs! After all-we do sort of deserve the reporting

Writing *is* difficult in that we don't have the visual or aural nuance to enhance the communication. It's just better to try to write clearly (I say "try" because I'm not always on the mark in print...but I take the time to re-read what I've written and go back and correct if necessary). How do you want to be perceived by strangers, anyhow?

As an English teacher of 37 years, I wholeheartedly agree with chasgroh. Your grammar (to too many people, rightly or wrongly) represents the your character - and too often as well the reliability of your comments. If you're careless with your writing, does this mean you are also careless in other ways?

I taught English for 37 years and totally agree with chasgroh.

Actually I don't understand the question. When I had surgery (after a lifetime wearing glasses) I chose good eyes and had both near and far, astigmatism corrected, and now do not wear glasses and have passed several eye tests for driving. At 86 I have twenty/twenty vision. Reading in dim light is my only problem. The only question I would pose is "what money do you have?" Same question doctors ask but for different reasons! Choose the best you can afford especially as photographers you need eyes.

Where are all the crabby ones coming from? I understand the rather idiotic comments from the far right but surely the rest of us can be more thoughtful.

I probably have a couple of thousand SF books and magazines from 1960 on( some older back to 40s) so don't have to download. Analog almost complete from middle 60s. As I'm 86 perhaps not too many years to enjoy my collections.

I am a regular user of the Project Gutenberg site; free books that are in the public domain. I have been having a great time these past few months downloading hundreds of stories from the various science fiction magazines of the 50's and early 60's like Galaxy, Analog and Orbit, to name just a few. A liberal amount of novels from the same era included. They're all available for download in many different formats including (of course) Kindle.

And I thank you for the "cute" reply. And in case I wasn't clear, I did really enjoy the picture as well as appreciating the different perspective.
