I would live in Norway in a heartbeat.

Beautiful. Norway is on my bucket list for sure. From the photos I've seen, it seems absolutely gorgeous no matter the weather or location.

While we were up the river, (without a paddle I might add) We enjoyed a bit of Tern action. Photographing Terns is a mixed bag of joy and frustration. They can be incredibly fast and erratic when they want to be. Add to that that they are mostly white and photographing them in flight requires pointing the camera up.... But when it works its very satisfying.

Royal Tern and Fosters Tern, Both in Non-breading plumage.

You really nailed these shots,Bill. Great work!

Early this morning at the emergency vet with my wife stroking her head, Sassy crossed the Rainbow Bridge. She leaves her brother, my wife and me in deep sorrow. For almost 16 years of love, devotion, companionship and fun she has been at our side.

I will not be participating on the Hog today.

All I can say in response to your sorrow is that my heart hurts for you. Take care of yourself.

I suggest you coexist. Keep the dogs in if they are unable to learn a hard lesson. If you don't like animals, why are you living in the foothills? You are intruding on the territories of skunks, coyotes, bobcats etc. What does this question have to do with photography?

Seriously!?!!?? He posted in the Chit-chat (NON-PHOTOGRAPHY TALK) section of the forum. That's where this sort of post belongs.

I have a problem with skunks in my yard at night. I live on a 1 acre property in the California foothills. About half of it is fenced so that my two dogs can't get out, but skunks can walk right through the fence to get in. I just watched one do just that. It went under my car to get out of the light I had just turned on. One of my dogs got it once, the other twice. I can't tell you how horrible that is, having to wash the dogs in hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and dish soap. It is impossible to get all of the smell off, and they smell for a couple of weeks afterward.

I have been putting down skunk repellant for the past two weeks, and every morning I find new holes in my yard where they're digging for whatever they eat. Has anyone else had to deal with this? I've done Google searches, and aside from skunk repellant, there are recommendations for putting down animal urine, ammonia, vinegar etc. Amazon sells motion sensor lights to put around your property to make them leave.

Animal control will trap them and kill them. I'm not keen on that, but I'm getting desperate. If anyone has successfully gotten rid of these critters, tell me how it was done.

From the tone of your post, it sounds as though your main concern is the fact that your dogs keep getting "skunked". At the risk of sounding "snarky", have you considered keeping your dogs inside at night? If that is not possible, I'd suggest contacting a pest control company that will trap & re-locate the skunks. You could also try installing more motion sensor lights.

Normally, every now and then the mockingbird will make a brief visit to the yard. Today it decided it liked the feeder perch and spent a bit of time taking up space normally occupied by House Finches.

Beautiful image, Bill. You always post wonderful images of the cutest birds.

So in an unfortunate drinking accident I dropped my Lumix ZS 80, and now the lens is stuck open and it won’t take photos. Any one have a favorite repair place they have used for Lumix? Just a side note: I have drunk dropped my Sony RX 100 more times than I can count and it never broke!

Maybe consider not drinking while shooting?

Beautiful image, Larry. Strangely enough, we've had breeding White Ibis here in NJ for about 4 seasons now. Started out a year or 2 before that with sightings of juvie White Ibis in Cape May County. Next thing we knew, the White Ibis were nesting in the same rookery with several species of heron and Glossy Ibis. The first juvie White Ibis I ever saw was in Florida at Black Point Drive. Didn't realize what it was until I saw the beak in profile. Made my husband stop the car while I looked & shot to my heart's content. I think the coloring is really beautiful on these youngsters.

all I can see is a stone arch as the road way of the bridge is missing yes a chain saw would be nice but I would expect a long prison sentence if I start cutting down trees on public land in Italy.
I figured that there was no easy way to remove the trees in the foreground. Itild my wife there are people in UHH that can do magic.

Have a good day

Many members are magicians. But you need a miracle worker. As far as I know, we don't have any of those in our membership.
Actually, my suggestion was going to be go back & re-shoot, but then I noted that you said this was in Italy. Oh, well.

Is there a Nikon adaptor to do such?

The short answer is that there is an adaptor that allows an F mount lens to be used on a Z series Nikon mirrorless camera but NO such adaptor to allow the use of a mirrorless Nikon lens to be used on a Nikon DSLR.
