Not exactly, the scriptures say that the Ox that treads the grain is worth his share.
But in Paul's case, he chose not to take anything from many he preached too. That was to separate him, from the money hawkers of his day So the Tv preachers have always been with us, even when there was no Tv.

I think you way under estimate the power of the human mind. I'm not saying you aren't feeling the spirit but I don't think a feeling proves it.

Most people when referring to feelings, are relating it to emotions. There is nothing about emotions in a secure understanding. Maybe that is the way, I should have said it.

How does "the indwelling spirit" reveal it to you?

Have you ever had a feeling of security, in something you were about to do. Well - that's what the Holy Spirit gives the believer, about the t***h of word.

Of course you can vex the Spirit, by questioning him. After that he just might leave you to your own understanding, which would be about the same as the non-believer has.
Seek and ye shall find, Ask and it shall be given, Knock and it shall be opened. :)

Does the bible say there will never be another prophet? I probably should know but I don't.When discussing Christianity with Christians I frequently would hear. I know it's true because I have a personal relationship with Jesus. I figured they were either communicating with him or believed they were. What evidence do you have (I'm only asking for evidence, not proof) that the Bible is the word of God? I can't believe it's true just because it says it is. I'm not telling you you are wrong. I'm just asking why you believe.

No it doesn’t, in fact Revelation 11:3 says there are two to come in the latter days, of the tribulation. That of course does not apply to those who claim to be prophets today, but I would not try to find my way home; according to their directions.

I believe because of faith, and the indwelling Spirit verifies it to me. Externally look and see, just how many prophesies the scriptures gave, and how many came to pass. The average is 100% it missed none, that has to speak volumes for its reality. There were around 365 of the coming of Jesus, ALL were fulfilled. So given its accuracy, what is not to believe.

Some would say!, many prophesies were already fulfilled when the Bible was written. I would say "prove it". There is no other way to verify prophesy, other than to see it fulfilled. So those writing 2000 years in advance of Jesus coming, had to be shown something. The Isaiah scroll, in the Dead Sea finds dates to around 200 BC. But I guess that was f**ed, YEAH SURE!. Isaiah 53 tells of Jesus suffering on the cross. That was about 233 years, before it happened. Isaiah wrote long before that.

God no longer directly speaks to men, Jesus was King, Priest, and Prophet. His massage was the last from God directly to man. That was I am the Way, the T***h, and the Life. Salvation comes through no other. No better (so called) t***slation, is going to get you any closer to God. No way of scripture interpretation is going to give you understanding, only the Holy Spirit does that.

God communicates with us in different ways, sometime through his word, the Bible. Sometime through other Christians, and sometime through circumstances. That without the Holy Spirit, none would understand. So that’s about it. :)

I believe the OP asked for personal beliefs about communicating with God. I congratulate you on your intensive studies of Religions. I'm just speaking of Christianity here because I found it very interesting to study how the over 700 editions of the Bible differed on interpretations of the Word. And how Christianity taught different dogma throughout History. And who's to say which verse interpretation was or is correct today. I believe that's why different sects of Christianity teach slightly different dogma. And why their followers believe certain things.

Arguments about Scripture interpretations, have been going on for millennia. Much of it comes from what you want the scriptures to say, personally I much prefer to let scripture interpret scripture. This is called Hermeneutics, and is preferable to other methods, that leave you with a choice of meanings. This leads to differing interpretations, and Bible versions. Then you are left trying to unscrew the inscrutable, That never produces good results. :)

Here's the thing...you CAN believe in God without actually attending church. T***h!

Yes you can, but it is better to have some guidance. Millions in the past have believed in some kind of god, but 99% of those were false gods.

I understand that there were no Christians around when the Bible was first written (O.T.).

Oh yes there were, they were just called prophets. They trusted, believed, and followed God. That is a Christian.

But Catholics do not, you need to study Catholicism a little.

Once again you sound as if you decide who is Christian and who isn't. (I'm aware that you say it isn't your decision but you frequently make posts that sound as if you were) You don't look at Muslims and say this one is a true Muslim and this one isn't. I haven't seen a verse in the Bible that says (Catholics are not Christians) What you think of Catholics may have a place in your Sunday school classes or if you are counseling in your church or preaching, but they call themselves Christian so they may not be the same sort of Christian as you but I have no reason to believe that they are not Christian. I didn't hear you say that Ben Carson isn't a Christian and he has notions that are at least as different from yours as Catholics are. You can say that only members of your church are Christians if you wish. It will be no more true or untrue than if you don't say it.

You wont find it in the Bible, there were no Catholics around when it was written. Oh wait!, they are mentioned in the future though check out !st Timothy 4:1-3

Hmm, wonder how he got to Switzerland; on a oil guzzling jet I assume. Those things get gallons to the mile, not miles to the gallon.

They also deposit their carbon emissions where they count most, high in the atmosphere. Could he not have just phoned. ??? :) :)

Just remember to keep the Catholics separate from the Protestants. There is quite some difference you know.
