David thank you I will stay with a RX10m4'''If I stayed with my wifes opinion. I would come up with no opinion....no camera. Her quote from the masters of knowledge is...How many cameras can you shoot. My answer is as many cameras as I can afford that give me pleasure.....thank you all for making some sense of my self confusion

I have been running around in my mind. A back up camera. I go over the spechs over again and wanting the same speech's. I have found the RX10M4 to give me alot more than I ask and it gifts me well. I have been on the phone with B and M, Canon Tech. Sony tech. Any good suggesation to where I can go. I realize that This is expensive I have given it too much thought.. The RX has been great...I couldn`t ask for more,,,Maybe a short yes or no and a short explination...This may be a foolish question....but It I don`t ask I may not get assistance. Thank you I will try to not feel foolish

IMO the images that have come out of my M4 have been to me beautiful. Two months later I am still exploring what this camera will do. Its been damn fun with more keepers than any other piece of equipment
I have owned and used.

Don.....try.the new section that they finished a couple of months ago called the nest. In Bradenton down 75th st past Manatee Ave towards the river...turn left at the school....straight ahead past the old Church through the gates...the road forks to the right is the trails and too the left is the nest...a really beautiful building that will be a great lookout. I drive and then the boxer and I walk until she gets heated

Its on the mouth of the Manatee River..Bradenton Florida..the loop is maybe 4 or 5 miles...Kayaking hikeing fishing....mangrove and salt marsh. Really good size and they have just expanded with a second lookout and more Kayaking...One of the first places I have lived where they have given more land for conservation and public use. My Boxer loves to walk and bark at the herons. I go at least 5 days a week and the new nest part had two other people

The new Nest at Robinsons Preserves is open. Eagle, Ospery, Heron, Egret, Pelican and many I cannot even name are having a field day. Have been waiting and looking for the Eagle for at least 2 weeks.. Anyway today was the day. I see so few Eagles that this was a treat...a gift. Trying to master the RX10M4 and it is all going and is coming together

Having an identical camera as a back up is very nice-both are set up the same, so going back and forth between the two is pretty "seamless" which is nice during those times I actually shoot 2 bodies with different lenses.

I agree. As time goes by I find I do not want to deal with or learn 2 or 3 menu systems. So I finially got the RX10m4 dpwn pat...my backup will be either a RX10m3, m2, or another m4. The camera has been good to me. Before I get yelled at I was thinking of a FZ1000 or 2500...as a second camera. Its all a win win situation for me. Before someone jumps at me about wasteing money. I am old enough to be what some would consider foolish and feel damn good about it

Wish I could help but live on the Gulf coast side and actually only have a 12 mile radius from my house to find wildlife. Isn`t there a few pockets of Cubans. out your way...Some wildlife pockets with ponds.... museum's or zoos...If you are coming out this way I could give you a list...have fun and I am sorry I couldn't be more helpful
