I use the 1,4 Teleconverter on my 100-400 and love it. I notice no fall off in sharpness or ability to auto focus. Here’s a pic I took with it 3 days ago. The Eagle was 50 yards away. Used my Fuji XT-3 on a tripod and of course cropped heavily.

When out this afternoon to try out a new tripod with a gimbal head. This eagle flew into a tree about 50 yards away. Love my new set up and good fortune!

I absolutely love this lens. I almost always use it with the Fujinon 1.4 Teleconverter. It is sharp, focuses quickly and does fairly well in low light. I use it primarily for wildlife.
