2.5 weeks post total hip replacement, and I needed out of the house bad. OK, we'd done a few shopping trips, but I wanted R & R. Sweet hubby loaded me up and drove me over to the exotic feline rescue to do the tour (again). :O) Now, the half mile hike with a couple of hills thrown in was perhaps a bit ambitious, but it just felt great to be out having fun. Interesting thing...we'd seen it before when children were on the tour...some of the cats were VERY interested in them...there were 6 people in our group, and a few of the kitties kind of slipped into "stalk" mode. I could almost hear them thinking...."Ooohh....look....that one's limping....bet we could get her..."

Nice zoom lens in very good condition. Only reason for selling is I upgraded to the Tamron 150-600 G2. Comes with original box, manual, padded case and lens hood. See pics, the case has one of the connectors for the carrying strap broken. It could be repaired, I suppose, I just never looked into it. $400 including shipping continental US.

Personally, I have a habit of hanging onto things....after all, "It isn't eating anything..." Costs nothing to keep something, and I'd rather hang onto an item that I might use than to sell it and then find out a few months later that I have a use for it.

One time. It was a rush.

It was fun. The hydroslide was closer to my home, so went there more often. I don't know if the track is even left there, there's a campground where it used to be.

Know it well, just on the other side of the Lake Monroe causeway off 446.

You are so right. Did you ever ride it?

Neat Pictures of what was once probably a neat place. Just a query about the last; where does one go...

This spot was maybe 1/3 of the way down the hill. The tunnel actually went underneath the track and was about 25 or 30' long, came out and proceeded down the hill with more twists and turns. There's a video on youtube that shows the course. https://youtu.be/LmBAKG2I6Oo

When I was a kid this was a very popular place close to the lake. Closed in the mid 80s due to high insurance costs and injuries. Hmmm....shooting down a concrete trough on a little pad of foam....what could possibly go wrong? Scrapes and bruises were kind of a right of passage riding the slide. Now, unless you're a local and know where to look, you'd never know it was there. Vandals burned down two of the remaining outbuildings a year or so ago, so there's not much left, pretty much just the concrete slide, a couple of water tanks, and the outhouse.

This was the start of the ride.

Further down the track, looking back up hill.

Outhouse...only "building" left standing.

Anyone near Indianapolis can go to Roberts Camera, which has been around for 3 generations of my family. I go when I am in Indy. They now have a second smaller store in Carmel, Indiana. Great staff there!

Yes!!! I love Roberts. I've not had the pleasure of visiting the Carmel store, but the downtown store is fantastic. Wonderful staff, knowledgeable, and just a generally pleasant experience.

[quote=Regis]Sunny day today for capturing this insect pest in our yard.

Great pics. I really really hate yellow jackets. Worst horse crash and burn I ever had involved those nasty stinging heathens. I think this informative ID chart pretty well sums it up...

Not much to add. Basic troubleshooting for this type of issue:

1_ Stop the locked program with task manager and try rerunning the program. (if this doesn't fix issue go to #2)

2) Reboot (doesn't fix issue go to 3)

3) If there are no errors and the lockup keep happening. Most likely a file got corrupted -- and best solution is to re-install software. If you don't have the disc -- what I would do is try the X9 free trial and if that fixes the problem pay the $50-$60 to upgrade to PSP X9.

4) To echo what someone else says from your post -- X7 has been working for you -- did you do anything recently to your system. Add another program or hardware? Is anything else failing or just PSP?

5) Good Luck!! If you ultimately can't solve your problem with PSP -- it might be some weird hardware/software incompatibility (rare -- but it happens sometime) -- then I'd maybe recommend moving over to Serif Affinity.

Just wondering, and hope I don't sound like a total idiot, but could they possibly do a system restore on their computer back to a day prior to the freeze up?

I'm with whitewolfowner on this. I did not subscribe to Popular Science because that is not what I was interested in. I'll be calling and asking for a refund as well. It's kind of irritating that they just assume we are ok with substituting some other completely unrelated magazine.

I wasn't happy either, but I do have to say, I emailed them and told them I wasn't interested in Popular Science, and just wanted a refund (I had literally just renewed 2 weeks prior) and they were quite responsive, and told me that they would refund but to not be worried if it took a month or two to make the "billing cycle". In less than 2 weeks I had a total refund credit on my card. Can't complain. Unhappy that they quit, but their service was just fine in my case.

Put down the paint brush, step away from the counter! Its a 750 for fifteen hundred bucks man! two saw horse and a piece of plywood and you have a functional kitchen, besides you're going to be out with your NEW camera all the time anyway.

GAS logic. The money you will save by buying that D750 you can upgrade your kitchen fixture's for your remodel. :-)

HAHAHA....I jokingly asked dear hubby if I could get one, he said sure....so....after a lot of waffling I went ahead and ordered. Of course now they're on temporary back order... Hubby did say though, that if I get it, love it, and find myself not using the 7200 I need to sell it and all the DX lenses...Oh....the horrors!!!!

Yes it's either the battery grip or the lens (seems like they're giving you $500.00 off. If I had time, I'd call B&H and see if I could get both...

Adorama has the d750 with the free battery grip and the 24-120 lens for 1996. https://www.adorama.com/inkd750k1g.html Tempting....very tempting....but currently diving deeper and deeper into remodeling my kitchen. I keep telling myself....the 7200 is great....
