Is that silver car a Porsche?

I spent all of yesterday at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elgance. It is generally regarded as the premier and all inclusive car show in the world. The Pebble Beach show also features the most desirable collector cars. And a couple of other shows will feature some of those cars as well. But no other show even approaches the divergent range of cars that are exhibited at the Amelia show.
It's going to take me a while to wade through the hundreds of images I shot. To give you an inkling of what's coming, I'm including two images now to show you the pull that the Amelia show has. Both Mclaren and Ferrari had a special presentation of each model in their current lineup. This was in addition to private owners also showing their cars from these two manufacturers. BMW also had a nice display of some of their cars.

A little bit of unobtainium? At least im my world of wheels!
That is one wild Sedan Delivery, Kim! Spectacular build and color on this Custom.
Great looking car, but I get a very claustrophobic feeling when sitting in one of these late model Camaros! The overall visibility out of this model is not something I would like to live with. At the recent SVRA races at Sebring I had a conversation with a team member of one of the late model Camaro Trans Am cars and asked if they would still be able to race that model now that it is no longer in production. He replied that they were still waiting for an answer to this question, and he also told me that they were at an aero disadvantage with this model compared to the Mustang.

Nice set of real cool cars. What kind of show was it. they all look to be sports or muscle cars.
The show ran the gamut from high-end exotics to Model T Fords, muscle cars, foreign makes, customs, streetrods and rat rods. Many of the cars had Florida plates, but the "Snowbirds" also brought some of their cars to the show.

Beauties, and a fortune just sitting there 🏆🏆🏆
They don't sit there, they compete on road courses at several venues including here at Sebring. The one exception in these photos is the customized Mustang with the beautiful paint job.
Just a sampling of the wide variety of vintage race cars as seen in the pits.

Nice to see that these boats are still seaworthy and in the water for the show at Clayton,NY! It's been a few years since we attended the shows when we were still living in the Adirondacks (2003). I remember the smile on the old skipper of the Dancing Bear as he took one person after another for a quick spin around the harbor.

Sorry, but what you call a 1940 Chevy pu. is NOT a 40. It' s a 41 to 48, someplace in there. A 1940 Chevy has horizonal grille bars, the 41 to 48 has what is called The Waterfall Grille. I know as I have a 40. catskinner
Catskinner, I stand corrected.

There were a couple of mixed class races at last weekend's SVRA competition at the Sebring track and surprisingly the early year GT 350s kept right up with their much newer counterparts!

The 57 Ford wagon is a puzzle. It does look like 57 in the rear, but 58 in the front. Front fencer replace?
The info on the card in the windshield lists it as a '57 model, but it does appear that during the customizing of the car, he used '58 front fenders with dual rather than single headlights.
Kim, that's one beautiful classic Caddy Coupe artfully displayed in a scenic background!
Sure looks good in Black!
The so-named car show that was part of the Sports Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) program at the Sebring International Raceway has grown in leaps and bounds from only a few years ago. The closely packed vehicles on the show area proved somewhat of a challenge to photograph, let alone compare to the artful backgrounds that Kim always manages to include in his photography of vehicles.
