I took this today. It must be a female something. It has the size and shape of a blackbird. It's not a Brewer's or Red-winged (Photo's included)

Cropped tried to do some adjustment, not much there to work with. Did you shoot it in RAW or the JPEG you posted?

Wow, great job, those are super nice shots! Would love to see the larger versions if we could. BTW, the best time for shooting the "full moon" is one day before it is full. That way it comes up when there is still some nice ambient light in the sky for it to blend with. (as you probably know anyway...:)

Here are larger versions, I had to scale them down some to upload

I found out that the moon was rising about the same time the sun was setting. so I went out and took some shots. One shot of the moon and other two are 180 degrees from it. It would have cool to do a 360 degree panorama.

These are amazing, I'm officially a fan! I have been trying to catch small birds in flight and I know how hard it is. I am nowhere in your league.

I would have to say the swallows are the toughest, they are so fast.

#7 has a very painterly look to it. Nice reflection and the bird has nice separation from the colors in the water.

Thanks Carlysue, the only editing I did was a little boost in the detail and Vibrance and of course because I shot in RAW a touch of sharpening.
