I am fairly new to editing photos I have been given Serif Photoshop to try.
I darkened up Jasmines eyes by using the clone tool and pasting bits of her nose...
I have recently bought a Canon 600D, so I am still a novice. One the disks that came with the camera, Canon have included a bit of software called Digital Photo Professional. Using this software you can manipulate your RAW files and then convert them to jpeg etc. Black and White conversion with the colour sliders is one the functions available. I have found this a very useful bit of software especially as it's free!
Yes, I was using my 70-200 - f5.6, 1/500sec, ISO 200.
Crazy Tooth was my cowboy name given to me by the official Calgary Stampede website when I visited a few years ago
As long as you not too noisy and you do not break the outline of the vehicle (don't stand up) the animals ignore you, one guy stood up when we were near some impala and they immediately skedaddled!
I also got some nice shots of rhino and one time we got so close to elephants that my 70-200 was too long!
Nothing but open air, the vehicles are very picture taking friendly, especially if like me you avoid the middle seat (three in a row)
Thanks for your comments,
The lion was shot from a safari vehicle, fortunately the animals tended to ignore it.
I still like the compact (canon SX220HS), but I now let my wife use it.
I am not sure what "same as travlinman46" means, is it some sort of code?
Hello everyone, after years of using compacts I finally bought myself a DSLR a Canon 600D, the excuse being a holiday to South Africa. My wife is surprised at what else I had to buy...a camera bag, canon 70-200 f4, tripod, flash...you know how it is!
Now I only have to learn how to use it all, I have been observing from the sidelines for a few months although I did respond to a LCD screen query.
Anyway here are a couple of shots from my holiday.
I have a Canon A650 IS which had this problem, the coating is coming off the glass.
It would have cost a fortune to have someone to professionaly repair it.
I bought a replacement screen from Hong Kong for £9,99 including postage and did it myself!
