These Sandhill Cranes in a field along the road - at full volume! D7200 AF S Nikkor 200-500 5.6E ED

Oh, I love these. Aren't the Sandhill Cranes beautiful? I went on a mission of trying to find some to photograph last year (our photography group that I'm a member of-but poor participant-let's us know when they are in the area) and found a huge group of them, but they were to far away to get any decent photographs of. I had the best time though just watching them in flight. Thanks so much for sharing yours with us ♥

Replace my well used t3i.

I think I finally killed it. I think the dampness of many trips on the boat, plus 2 serious splashings, like a bucket of water, have finally cought up with me.

So here is my challange.
I am going to stay Canon.
I am going to stay dslr
And I am going to stay cropped sensor.

The choises, for me, boild down to a 80d, 90d and 7d mk11. Probibly used.

I have done my homework and any of the 3 should meet my needs ( mostly birds and sealife from an open boat)

My big question is about weather and dust resistance. How sealed up and robust are the 80d and 90d bodies?

Obviously none of these are intended as underwater cameras so serious drenchings are another matter but what about reasonable splashes and damp conditions like life on a boat?

Btw the 3ti is now resting in a container of dry rice. After a week in the container it is showing some recovery but I doubt it will ever fully recover It's just a matter of time before it moves across the Jordan to it's final resting place.

Thanks
Bill
Replace my well used t3i. br br I think I finally... (show quote)

I'm not a boat person, so can't say how the 80 or 90 hold up to dampness, but I do own the 7dII and love mine.

My friends will remember a few weeks ago we lost our little pet dog, Molly.
Obvioiusly we can't replace Molly but we have added a new baby to our family.
She is a Shi Tzu Cross and her name is Minnie, we now have Minnie, Winnie and Brynnnie.
She is six months old and is an adorable sweet little puppy.......

Cheers and Beers

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of Molly and you have my sympathies. Your new addition is just precious and for all of us dog/pet lovers it's never easy, but Minnie will bring you years of happiness and joy while Molly will always live on in your hearts ♥ ♥ (If you haven't checked out the Pampered Pets Corner, be sure to share your lovely pets on that forum too, we love seeing all the wonderful pets that are cherished and loved)

I spent a few hours in the yard waiting and watching with minimal results. The birds I saw were mostly molting and were rather in poor condition for photographs. I did watch the brown anole lizards which are abundant. Brown anoles are relatively new to our area (a few years), but their population has exploded, and I feel like they have displaced our green anoles. I wonder if others have had a similar experience with anoles.

Beautiful photographs Dan, and Annie has my heart ♥ What an adorable little girl you have there ♥

Many thanks Tazzy, I have some new flower photos I should get busy and post, just not in the mood lately (if you know what I mean) just too much going on in the world, although posting some new flower photos would probably do my soul a world of good ♥

OH My goodness, these are outstanding and I must agree with everyone else, number #3 is stunning and needs to be in a magazine! Fantastic job!!!
