Something minor but I have a suggestion and dont know if it is my monitor or not. After I look at a subject on the board it sort of changes shades to a darker blue, but it is very, very subtle.. is there a way to make it turn red or a more noticable shade so it can be seen better? Just a thought.. love the board though!
I have similar problems with my d5000
Whereabouts was that taken? Looks like down in Amish Country?
Very nice! I still like the black and white one best!
Couldnt get close enough to see the Ivy.. figured it was Poison Oak? lol
Dont get me wrong.. I dont dislike Vignetting, just not over-using it. I believe that in certain situations it does help..some portaits, and some old-timey pictures.
Thanks folks...I find it very fun just looking for old buildings!
Very nice shots! What kind of lens were those shot with? Ive been using a Nikkor 70-300 4.5 with similar results for some of my friends...
Is it just me or is everybody now using vignetting in their photos? I know its been around for years but it seems to be over-used now. It does add to a photo but not every photo! As usual...just my two cents!
You should have no problem without the manual.. I agree with the suggestion of getting an actual book on the D5000. The manual tells you how to use a function, the book will tell you how, when, and why to use a function. Also check on the Nikon website because there is a recall on some of these cameras. Enter your serial number and see if yours is on the list. One day my camera wouldn't shut on or off, found out about the recall. I think they should notify customers of this recall but they dont. Camera stores keep selling them even though they know about the problem. Dont worry though Nikon pays for shipping and the repair but keep in mind it will be gone for about 4 weeks. All the more reason to have a backup camera...lol
I love taking black and white pics of old buildings because you cant tell if its an old picture or a new one. I took these a couple days ago. The fall photo I liked because of the Red Ivy going up the tree trunk.
Two of my favorites.. I like the Raptor because he had water dripping from his beak.. and I liked the sleepy look in the owls eyes!
Wow.. thanks everybody! I purposely left it dark on top and bottom in case it was ever going to be used as and ad... Glad you all liked it!
One of my few heavily tweaked photos.. but I like it!
I believe it is has good points and bad. It has definitely made photography more creative.. I try to take good photos and will enhance them a bit before I toss it and say bad photo, but I don't like it how people take crappy pics and then make them good. If its to be used for creativity then that's good. If an artist can paint a picture that's bad and then hit a button and make it a masterpiece.. is that art? This debate will live on forever.
