My wife, friends and I Friday's Restraunt in Anchorage this evening, on display were these old bikes, a Harley Davidson Motorcycle and an Indian Motorcycle. I knew I should have brought my camera with me...but I had my iPhone 4. The photos may be lacking in quality...so I made my best efforts with the HDR feature, and did a post touchup in LR 4.3. I'll have to take my real camera there someday. At one time Harley and Indian motorcycles were competitave rivals against each other, Indian folded and closed it's doors forever? At any rate enjoy the photos! :-)

Beautiful State Florida is, it would be a real struggle for me to bear the heat though...I'd be hugging an air conditioner for sure. :-)
Thanks Tad1937, I've lived here pretty much all my life and have not seen a large part of the state, Ha! I've been to the NW, Mid West and NE states, it's the southern half I'm really curious about these days, beautiful lush green states.
I agree it's the hood for the filter adapter. I had a similar set but somehow lost my adapter at an airport in my travels. The filters work great...just need to get the adapter again.
Your photo certainly has impact, that covers a broad spectrum, Thanks for sharing your creative perspective!
Really nice photos of the light house, I really like the waythe red stands out on the top of the tower.
It sure takes a sharp photo, so your outdoor shots ought to be awesome! :-)
Looks Heavenly to me, Beautiful photo....a ray of hope! :-)
Now that's what I call HDR, incredibly awesome Photo!
Blue sky, a tinge of frost on the trees, beautiful photo Country's Mama, now that's the life! :-)
A wealth of information and history, thanks for sharing.
You did the right thing, My Little Girl is all grown up now, yet I was always a guard dog, and yes had to whip the wolves into order. I'm still here for her, and my family, now I get to spoil the grandkids and life is all good. Family comes First, and you're the man, Good job!
Beautiful photo of the bridge, very nice and clean application of the HDR effect, almost like I'm there! :-)
Primarily it's the lighting, and what your preference my be...poor lighting, high ISO, low shutter speed, aperature wide open. Bright lighting, you have the advantage of using a broader range of setting with your camera to control the amount of light entering your camera sensor. So you being the photographer behind the camera can set the exposure up for the results you wish to capture. It's much nicer to understand the basics of your camera...like opening a new door compared to the auto setting. Don't get me wrong here, I learned a great deal from my auto setting as well. Good luck in your photography, all I can say is, it is something I enjoy, and learn about every day. :-)
Hmmm...good queation to begin with, in my opinion..a snapshot is taken at the spur of a moment..unstaged. A photograph is planned to some extent...just back up a little more and the subject is gone? But really it's anyone's guess, or preference to the moment at hand. The results are still the same I suppose snapshot/photograph...the intent is to capture a memorable moment in time. My Webster's Dictionary is not big enough to define the question...Ha! :-)
