I have been using my Nikon 28-300mm lens for approximately a year. This is truly one of my favorite lenses. The Tamron lens would be an okay lens for the price you would pay. The Nikon lens will focus quicker and it is a vary sharp lens. Remember this, when in time you want to sell your lens, you will get more for the Nikon then you would for the Tamron, plus the Nikon lens will sell faster.

Your right ecobin, I did miss read the post. I am going to wait a few months, and see it any issues occur and the price may go down around the end of the year.

I see someone said they can get a D600 for $1500. NO WAY in hell will get this camera for that price, do not attempt to make a purchase. The D600 just hit the market and it is going for $2099. You need to deal with a reliable company like B&H or Adarma. Do not be fooled by low prices.
