I believe the prey is a young Eastern Gray Squirrel.

A great picture.

Thanks! I didn’t see the little fella until I downloaded to my computer. The others in the group were on higher ground, shooting at its rear.

Reminds me of this pic I took. Taking random shots of gulls. Didn’t realize he had a crab in his mouth until I got it downloaded.

Thank you! It was fools luck, I saw the hawk and it appeared to be struggling in the tree. It finally settled on the branch. It wasn’t until I had it in photoshop that I saw the chipmunk

Glad you enjoyed the photos. I will be planning a trip 49... thanks for the info.

The cemetery is at the end of a narrow road, the headstone is near the top of the hill, not much of a walk, maybe 20 yards, it’s a double headstone, buried with his brother!

Fond memories and I thank you! Should you venture up hwy 49 to North San Juan, stop at the Protestant cemeter, on the right just as you get to town. You can visit William Bonneys aka ‘Billy the Kid’gravesite, one of three that lay claim to having him!

The belt buckle at the end, I saw this and behind it were many of the objects in the buckles scene. I was hypnotized to that spot for quite some time. I did hear a voice behind me ‘I wish people would just look and move along instead of gawking’. I gawked longer.

CPR is a procedure that may save a life. There are no guarantees that it will work each and every time. I have taken CPR courses several times and was an instructor for a few years. I have provided CPR in a number of instances, not always successfully.

In each situation the circumstances are different and the degree of emergency can affect the procedure's outcome. When adrenaline starts flowing, people can be overzealous or possibly forget some minute details and perform incorrectly or inaccurately. The bottom line, it is better to make the attempt to save a life than to stand by and do nothing.

Take the training, maintain certification of the action, and be prepared to step up, whenever necessary.

I guess I was lucky when I was an EMT years ago. Three people lived and walked out of the hospital from my CPR. The finest of them, the fondest memory was me standing in the ambulance trying to maintain balance as the driver took us to the hospital.
