My local Photo club here in Grafton WV has a fall contest. Thats the one this pics will be entered into. thx to all for there comments will try to improve in the future.

Just goes to show a great pic can just turn up anytime. Some of my most commented on were shots that seemed to just come out of the camera after a day of shooting. Got to love it when the camera gods just give you a gift huh.

Welcome to the forum these are nice. You should have a target rich enviroment there, lotsa game and things. Lovely scenery too.

Great shots just a little tweeking will net some great photos. I can't help but wonder how #3 would look with a less busy background say a rocky or sandy beach. Just a thought. I like the dingy and reflection so well and think it should be the center of attention. IMHO

@ Bob Curtis I am just starting but whole heartedly, agree my club always has 0ne artist on the judge list for our contests. And I have seen marked improvements in my pics with these tips and also have began to read how to mix colors. This seems to be a better way to understand scene recognition and combinations in pics.

A white or gray backround usually cause a weak pic. Try something that is stronger but be careful not to distract from the main subject. Also plan the lighting better from the side my help use fill flash if the face shadows. My be a bit over exposed darken your pic either before or after the shot. Just some ideas. IMHO , good luck keep trying til you are happy.
