I agree, and I feel that this is the day of the finest photographs I have ever seen on UHH made even more enjoyable for the complete lack of nastiness. Thank you all!
Now, who was it said "I'm jealous" about your Milky Way?
Oh, just every photographer that sees it.
The Sigma 105 f2.8 Macro is interesting because it is designed to work equally well on either a crop sensor or full frame body. I don't have a full framer, but for your situation it will be ideal. Yes, it makes lovely images.
Here, here! to all your points. Here's another one: Develop a harder shell. You are about to deprive yourself of a wonderful source of technical and artistic information plus the occasional rousing big belly laugh. Stick with it, use that nice Nikon camera for all you're worth, and post your pics without a worry.
Strong 'Dittos' to the likers: inventive, clever, and nicely done. Congrats!
Please: Up what river, and up how far?
Thanks!
I don't see anyone touting the Sigma 10-20. I do, and to quote the oft-repeated phrase "I have one and I love ir".
Ditto the kudos. Particular thanks for including the lighting info. I pondered what your diagram must have looked like to get the infinite variations in the play between light and shadow, while at the same time keeping the soft, lovely capture of her flawless complexion. I hope she's properly grateful; that shot could get her a lot of jobs. And speaking of business, those buildings and the lighting tricks they produce are money in the bank for you!
Been on a lot of cruises, but never had enough inventiveness (that's my biggest shortcoming as a photographer) to create a shot as striking as this one. Congrats! (What does the type say, in the lower center of the image?)
Please, where is this simple but lovely tribute to heroes of days gone by?
I've heard of this site, but never looked in before. Fascinating; a real find! Thanks so very much for passing it along! As someone else has already mentioned, a significant portion of UHH's value lies not in photography as such, but rather its fascinating sidebars on the world at large.

You're talking a well-developed mall, here. I suspect you'll need to sell stock; you can put me down for a block.
I liked it so well I hunted one up on Amazon. 10 bucks more, but has wheels that allow you to pull it up stairs easily.
Got a 4Tb 'Expansion'; it has been flawless and is SUPER fast.
